ASIA RESTAURANT – THE RITZ-CARLTON JAKARTA, Mega Kuningan

Heyhooo, any buffet all you can eat lover here?? After a month long of renovation, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Jakarta, Mega Kuningan reopened Asia Restaurant with new concept. The ‘All Day Dining’ restaurant also launched new ‘The 8 Sunday Brunch’ concept that offers a new brunch experience on every Sunday.

Still with the ‘All Day Dining’ concept, the new look of Asia Restaurant is marvelous, AnakJajan love how posh and lux the restaurant looks with eclectic contemporary concept resulting a more spacious and elegant space.

During our visit to Asia Restaurant, AnakJajan received soooo many questions regarding to the restaurant, I guess many of you are true all-you-can-eat buffet lovers?!😉

The package that AnakJajan had was ‘The 8 Sunday Brunch’ that is available every Sunday from 12.00 to 15.00. The price for Sunday brunch buffet is IDR 428k++/ person including free-flow drink such as tea and juice, and by adding additional IDR 350k++, you can enjoy free-flow alcohol drinks such as wine, beer, cocktail, martini, etc.

If you wonder why they call it ‘The 8 Sunday Brunch’, well it’s because they serve everything in 8; Dimsum section, Sushi section, Seafood section, As You Wish section, Meat Carving section, All Time Signature section, Noodle section, and Dessert Section, you get total 8 sections, then each section has 8 options of dishes (except dessert).

The food display is certainly interesting with all the colorful shiny yet inviting dishes from Western, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, etc, they have it all here. Gotta love the live music performance that gives a better and more enjoyable eating experience.

Starting from the Sushi section, you can find freshly made onigiri, nigiri sushi, fusion rolls as well as fresh sashimi. Next to it, you’ll find various Cold Cuts, homemade Salad and also 8 types of fresh Seafood such as Oyster, shrimp, clam, etc.

The All Time Signature section is one of our favorite sections with all the yummy signature dishes such as Hainanese Chicken Rice, Bakso/ Meatball Noodle Soup, Bak Kut Teh, yess you heard us right, they have Bak Kut Teh specially for Sunday Brunch!

For meat lovers, Meat Carving section is a must not miss, they have rib eye steak, gilled chicken, salmon e croute, bratwurst/ frankfurter sausage, etc. There are 8 types of dimsum as well, both steamed and deep fried with pretty colorful presentation, love the deep fried wonton!

Out of all sections, the ‘As You Wish’ section is certainly one of the most popular, you can get your choice of ingredients (premium sirloin, chicken, squid, lobster and vegetables) to be cooked directly in front of you and then drizzled with choice of sauce.

AnakJajan got salmon, squid, sirloin, lobster and some vegetables from ‘As You Wish’ section and it was nicely cooked! We love the chargrilled aroma in it and it tastes even better with their signature Mongolian sauce. MAJOR YUM!!

As everyone says, there’s always a room for dessert! The dessert section is certainly huge with lots of options such as fresh fruits, chocolate fondue, cakes, mini cakes, tarts, etc. The homemade ice cream and Cendol Cake are simply must try!!

Overall, our Sunday brunch at Asia Restaurant was satisfactory. The buffet is indeed one of the best in town with all the tantalizing dishes as you have endless options of food to satisfy the tummy.
