Sunday calls for a good brunch, sooo here it is, a new recommendation for Sunday Brunch at Alto Restaurant & Bar, Four Seasons Hotel, Jakarta.
After long quality sleep, waking up on Sunday without interference from alarm noise is just the BEST feeling in the world, who’s agree with that?
A relaxing Sunday won’t be complete without good brunch. It just feels nice to treat ourselves with a good enjoyable brunch that we all deserve once in a while after all the stressful encounters on weekday.
Located on the 20th floor in Four Seasons Hotel, Alto offers great panoramic city views. The restaurant decor is certainly one of the prettiest in town, sleek modern yet lux with bold vibrant red color.
The Italian restaurant offers Sunday Brunch every Sunday from 11.30 to 15.00 including curated buffet spread and 2-course meal for IDR 895k++.
To accompany the brunch, free flow wine is also available with additional IDR 500k++ including Margherita, Prosecco, Pipoli Greco – Fiano, I Muri, Primitivo.
The buffet spread consists of salad bar, seafood bar, grilled meat, cheese & meat, bread & pastries, cakes, ice cream cart, etc. Everything looks so tempting, you will want to try it all.
Compared to Sunday brunch buffet at other hotels, the spread might not be as massive as others, but AnakJajan gotta admit that it’s well curated, each and every items there are well made with great flavors, we enjoyed everything.
The cheese selection is praiseworthy, the Whiskey Cheese is sooooo good you have to give it a try!
For a sweettooth person, the cake selection is going to give you an ultimate satisfaction. Not only it’s beautiful to look, it’s yummy to eat as well with nice texture and flavor combination. Don’t miss the ice cream cart and give the coconut ice cream a try.
Besides buffet spread, for Sunday Brunch you can order 2-course meal prepared the second you order it, it’s included in the package.
Stracciata Rucola E Tartufo
Stracciata Cheese, Rocket Salad, Parmigiano Cheese, Cherry Tomato, Truffle Lemon Dressing
This was Mr. Jajan’s order but I just can’t stop myself from finishing it. Believe me, it’s THAT good, since a newbie veggie eater like me loved it so much. The fresh veggies were complemented nicely with two types of cheese, lots of love for the refreshing and aromatic truffle lemon dressing.
Carpaccio Di Bresaola
Bresaola Beef Carpaccio, Rocket Salad, Shaved Parmigiano, Sliced Mushroom, Lemon Dressing
A combination that simply cannot go wrong, the beef was tender and it goes really well with shaved Parmigiano and tangy zesty lemon dressing.
Egg Benedict, Focaccia Bread, Arrabbiata Sauce, Parma Ham, Prosciutto Cotto, Balsamic Caviar, Rocket Salad
This is by far the fanciest egg benedict Anakjajan have ever had, just look at all the premium ingredients. I’m sure you can imagine how good the taste is.
Spaghetti Pasta in Lobster, Garlic Olive Oil, Chili, Parsley Sauce
Al-dente cooked in savory garlicky sauce served with huge grilled lobster on the side. The lobster was fresh and used generously, it was grilled nicely with amazing char-grilled aroma.
Alto Tiramisu (a la carte dish from regular menu)
Since each Italian restaurant has their own proud recipe of Tiramisu, AnakJajan just cannot help ourselves not to order additional dessert from their regular menu. Short to say, it was worth the calories, the mascarpone cream cheese was light and smooth, paired beautifully with coffee soaked ladyfinger cookies.
Overall, our Sunday brunch experience in Alto was memorable. In fact we can say that it’s one of the best Sunday brunches in town. It has its own distinctive unique charm where everything was well curated. Price is a bit on the high side but considering the quality of dish and ingredients, AnakJajan must say that it’s worth the price.
