Introducing a new gem for Sundanese food in Bintaro Sector 7, RASANA SUNDA serving Sundanese homecook dishes.
Indonesia undoubtedly has a rich culinary culture and out of many cuisines out there, Sundanese cuisine has a certain charm that keeps us coming back for more. For Sundanese food, AnakJajan often drive to Bandung to find a yummy legit one but now instead of going to Bandung, we can easily go to Rasana Sunda in Bintaro.
Right after the first visit, AnakJajan genuinely can tell that there will be the second, third, and many other visit soon in the future since the food is legit good. The restaurant is conveniently easy to reach with toll road, located next to Prodia in Bintaro Sector 7, it is owned by real Sundanese who loves to cook, that explains the great variety and the authentic taste of their dishes.
Combining modern and traditional concept, the restaurant has a nice homey and cozy vibes with interesting use of bamboo accent. Besides for walk in lunch and dinner, it’s often used for private events such as birthday, gathering, office gathering, etc as well as buffet service for minimum 30 pax. One of the best parts from this restaurant is the FREE FLOW Lalapan (veggie) and Sambal (chili condiment), afterall, Sundanese cuisine is not complete without Lalapan and Sambal right?😁 There are 4 types of Sambal provided; Sambal Goreng, Sambal Hejo, Sambal Dadak, and Sambal Kecap.
Kelapa Jeruk IDR 22k

Es Rumit IDR 25k

Kopi Tubruk “Rumahan” IDR 18k

Nasi Liwet Komplit IDR 45k
Nasi liwet, ayam goreng/bakar, tahu, tempe goreng. bakwan jagung, sayur asem/lodeh
Nasi liwet is a succulent rice dish cooked in coconut milk, chicken broth and spices and Rasana Sunda’s version is just perfection. The rice is very fragrant and all the side dishes just complementing each other nicely in one harmonious combo. FYI, you can also change the fried chicken with grilled chicken or beef Empal with a surcharge.
Nasi Timbel Spesial IDR 45k
Nasi timbel, ayam panggang rasana/empal, tahu, tempe goreng, jambal roti, sayur asem/lodeh
The rice is wrapped in banana leaf and then grilled to produce a unique aroma into the rice. For this dish, AnakJajan upgraded the chicken with Beef Empal and it was a great choice, the beef was full of flavors and tender, love the way they pair the rice with deep fried Jambal Roti or preserved salted fish, it makes the whole dish tastier.
Ayam Panggang Ala Rasana Sunda IDR 24k
Classic grilled chicken dish that simply cannot go wrong. The seasoning is more on the sweet side, that explains the great caramelization on the chicken from the grilling process. Don’t forget to squeeze abit of lime juice for zesty tangy touch.
Gurame Bumbu Cobek IDR 68k
Deep fried gurame fish topped with freshly made chili condiment. The chili on top is not too spicy, in fact it’s just in the right enjoyable level so it won’t overpower the taste of fish. Just nice!
Kangkung Cabe Ijo (+cumi asin) IDR 20k
This menu has gotta be the highlight of AnakJajan’s visit. It was INSANELY GOOD, AnakJajan are 100% sure that we’re going to order it on the next visit. It’s a unique sauteed Kangkung or water spinach dish with green chili seasoning and topped with deep fried dried squid. One of a kind indeed!

Jengkol Kabita IDR 20k
It’s not easy to find Jengkol dish, but it’s even harder to find a good one. AnakJajan have to admit that the Jengkol dish in Rasana Sunda is a good one, nicely executed with great texture and generous rich seasoning making it a perfect companion for a plate of warm rice.

Karedok IDR 22k
If there’s one certain dish that represent Sundanese cuisine, it has go to be Karedok. Karedok is a typical Sundanese raw vegetable salad with peanut sauce and the one AnakJajan had in Rasana Sunda is by far the best one. It has just the right proportion of ingredients and sauce, every veggie and salad lover will love it.
Jambal Roti Masak Pete IDR 30k
Jambal roti of preserved salted dish is another typical item to find in Sundanese cuisine. To give it a more flavor, they cook it with pete, chili, and onion which was very savory and enjoyable.
Overall AnakJajan gotta say that Rasana Sunda totally got us impressed and hooked immediately with all the humble homecook Sundanese dishes. Every dish was nicely executed, great balanced flavor, amazing sambal, looking forward to the next visit soon.
