Led by Executive Chef Gary Eng who has mastered the art of seasoning, marinades smoking and grilling food, Altitude Grill is a modern steakhouse with casual dining concept. As the name suggests, House Aged Premium Steak is the restaurant’s specialty.

If you’re looking for a nice restaurant to impress your date, this has gotta be the one since Altitude Grill features amazing city views from 46th floor which is one of the best views in town. You can see the iconic Bundaran HI while dining in, I bet the tables next to window are going to be in high demands especially during the night when lights are dimmed off.




AnakJajan recently had a dinner at Altitude Grill and the food was nothing but impressive! Here are some of the items we had:

Grilled Watermelon Salad IDR 120k
An exquisite dish that’s just perfect to start the meal, watermelon salad with feta and 25years aged balsamic. Gotta love the 25years aged balsamic, it’s very mild and sweet with less acidity, just a nice addition to the salad without being too overpowering.

Scallop Filled Squid Rings IDR 250k
The squid is filled with scallop and then topped with crispy pancetta, raspberry bacon jam with a parsley shallot plush. Just by reading the list of ingredients, AnakJajan bet you can already imagine how good it is. It’s savory with subtle sweet taste, the squid was crazily soft and tender thanks to the sous vide cooking. Uber yum!

Triple Cooked Wagyu Ox Tongue IDR 180k
This ox tongue dish might look so simple but the taste is seriously MIND BLOWING! In fact we can easily claim this as one of the most memorable ox tongue dishes we’ve ever had. Soooooo tender yet so tasteful with nice charred aroma and maple glaze. The creamy hazelnut dukkah gave the savory ox tongue a nice mellow creamy taste.

Oven Baked Salted Egg Hollandaise Black Cod IDR 250k
Aside from steak, Altitude grill serves a few other main dishes as well for example this oven baked Black Cod fish. Served with salted egg hollandaise sauce, purple sweet potato and asparagus, AnakJajan personally find it decent, fish was soft and smooth but the seasoning was not memorable as the salted egg taste on hollandaise sauce was too subtle.

All steaks are highly recommended to be cooked not more than medium in order to get the best flavor of the beef. This Sher Wagyu MBS 8/9 T Bone was cooked to perfection just the way we like it, just look at the shiny juicy meat with nice pink in the center.

The meat was tender and nicely seasoned with nice chargrilled aroma. For condiments, the steak here is served with 3 condiments; herb salt, mustard, and chimichurri. Just a nice and light condiments to add the flavor to the beef because when the beef quality is that good, you wouldn’t want to pair it with any bold tasting sauce since it can be overpowering.

The Sher Wagyu MBS 9+ Ribeye was exceptional! Sooooo tender and juicy it will melt in the mouth in instant. We really love the way they cook and season the meat, it really hits the spot!

Whipped Potatoes IDR 90k // Confit Shallots IDR 75k // Truffle Fries IDR 95k // Buttered Spiced Corn and Crisp IDR 75k // Buttered Broccoli Gratin IDR 75k
To accompany the meat, there are a few options of side dishes but our most favorite items would be Buttered Spiced Corn, Confit Shallots, and Truffle Fries. To our surprise, Confit Shallots were our favorite since it added a nice complexity to boost the flavor of steak with its well-balanced sweet and tangy taste.

Assorted Desserts AYCE IDR 150k
For dessert, Altitude Grill offers all-you-can-eat dessert buffet everyday from 12.00 to 22.00. For IDR 150k++, you can enjoy unlimited cakes, pastries and house made gelato including coffee/tea.

Overall, AnakJajan can easily admit that Altitude Grill is one of the best steakhouses in town! Great quality of meat and amazing flavor accompanied by amazing city view as a bonus. In terms of taste, interior, and view, Altitude Grill portrays a great example of how steakhouse is supposed to be.
