SEOUL YUMMY – Lippo Mall Kemang, Jakarta

From Singapore to Jakarta, introducing the newly opened SEOUL YUMMY in Lippo Mall Kemang, offering Korean cuisine with modern twist.

Daebaek Army Stew IDR 148k (Chicken) / IDR 168k (Beef)

Opening their first outlet in Lippo Mall Kemang, upon entering, you’ll get a fun and young K-Pop vibes with modern colorful decor and K-Pop songs being played.

UPDATE: Seoul Yummy is now open in Pondok Indah Mall and Puri Indah Mall.

Since the concept of their food is Korean food with modern twist, expect to find interesting dishes like Cheese Pots, Army Stew, etc. Let’s take a look at some of their signature items. Please note that, ALL menu in Seoul Yummy contains NO pork and NO lard.

Potato Pancake IDR 38k/ Kimchi Pancake IDR 38k
For starter, AnakJajan had pan fried Potato Pancake (grated potatoes, shredded carrot and spring onion) and Kimchi Pancake (kimchi, shredded carrot and spring onion pancake). Both were equally delicious, but personally AnakJajan prefer the spicy kick from the Kimchi Pancake.

Korea Rice Balls Spicy Chicken for IDR 38k/ Bulgogi Beef for IDR 48k
Korean style rice balls always got me excited and the ones in Seoul Yummy were nicely done. It comes in huge size, rice were fluffy and nicely seasoned. Massiseoyo!

Daebaek Army Stew IDR 148k (Chicken) / IDR 168k (Beef)
The signature army stew has various toppings like: Korean ramyon, tteok/ rice cake, spam, sausage, enoki, beancurd, baked beans, assorted vegetables, kimchi, and chicken/ beef. It was an enjoyable yet flavorful dish with generous portion.

Chingu Cheese Pot IDR 188k
If AnakJajan have to pick one favorite item in Seoul Yummy, it would be their Cheese Pot. Chingu Cheese Pot comes with Soy Garlic Chicken Wings, Spicy Chicken Wings, Mozzarella + Cheddar Cheese, Fries, Egg and choice of 2 side dishes (corn cream/ fried chicken/ tortilla chips/ chicken kimchi dumplings).

The chicken wings were crunchy and well seasoned, especially the soy garlic sauce was crazily addictive, it goes well with cheese. The spicy chicken wings were also nice with well balanced taste, not too sweet and not too spicy, enjoyable till the end.

Poong Japchae – Spicy Squid IDR 98k
Basically Japchae is a stir fried glass noodle dish, here in Seoul Yummy they have a few options: Spicy Chicken (IDR 78k) / Bulgogi Beef (IDR 88k) / Spicy Squid (IDR 98k). AnakJajan opted for squid version, just by looking at the color, you can see that it’s a well made one, it was full of flavor and well balanced, savory and tasty.

Dramarama IDR 58k
To end the meal, AnakJajan opted for icy bingso or shaved ice treat. Dramarama consists of vanilla ice cream, popcorn, potato chips and caramel sauce, love the sweet and salty taste as well as the smooth and crunchy texture contrast.

Black Yellow IDR 58k
For chocolate lovers, give their Black Yello Bingsoo a try, it’s made of chocolate ice cream, oreo flakes, banana, wafer cookies, crushed nuts, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Overall, nice casual vibes, tasty food, anyone who loves K-Pop and modern Korean cuisine would enjoy their time there. Their Cheese Pot & Army Stew are seriously a must have!
