RAMEN GAME IS STRONG in Ichiro Ramen, famous for their Raclette Cheese Ramen, after opening outlet in AEON Mall BSD, AEON Mall JGC, Lippo Mall Puri, QBig BSD, they’ve recently opened another new outlet in PIK Avenue Mall, North Jakarta.

AnakJajan recently visited Ichiro Ramen’s newest outlet to get our cravings fixed, it’s located in Dotonbori food area on 2nd floor inside PIK Avenue Mall.
As the name suggests, Japanese ramen is their specialty dish with freshly made noodle daily and rich broth cooked with No MSG and No artificial flavoring which are totally plus points for us.

For noodle, we can choose any type of noodle we want for our ramen, here are the noodle types available: thin original, thick curly original, thin kuro, thick curly kuro, wheat soba.

The best part is they provide FREE NOODLE REFILL, as many times and any type of noodle as you want. From the menu book, we learned that they also provide Free Refill for rice and ocha. Also Spiciness level of ramen can be customized from level 0 to 10.
Sakura Milk IDR 27.9k // Green Tea Lemon IDR 25.9k

Butao Ramen IDR 64k + Tamago Crispy IDR 9k
Classic always has its own charm, we love their Butao Ramen here with thin original noodle. It consists of kikurage/ mushroom, charsiu and pork tonkotsu based broth.

The white looking pork broth is slow cooked for hours that explains the deep rich broth, it’s full of umami and tasteful, rich but not too thick and not too overpowering so we can enjoy it till the last sip. Their pork charsiu surely won my heart, it was tender and fully marinated with nice fire grill aroma. For extra enjoyment, we got additional Tamago Crispy.

Raclette – Akao Ramen IDR 98k
Well this is interesting, classic Japanese ramen dish with unique twist by using melting Raclette cheese, yess you read it right, RACLETTE CHEESE!!

Basically for Raclette Ramen, you can choose the type of cheese, type of broth and type of noodle, the ramen comes with egg, charsiu, and veggie. The Raclette cheese is available in 3 options: Original, Chili Pepper, or Black Raclette Cheese.

The serving process of Raclette Ramen is very entertaining and appetizing, first the waiter/waitress will put fire on the cheese to let it melt, after that they will scrape the melted cheese on the noodle in front of customer, then after that they will pour the boiling broth.

For this bowl, AnakJajan got Akao or spicy tonkotsu soup with thin original ramen noodle and black raclette cheese. The broth was similar with tonkotsu broth on Butao ramen but with delightful spicy aroma in it and nice subtle sweet aftertaste. The raclette cheese gave a nice creamy sensation to the broth and it toned town the spicy taste.

Raclette – Ebio Ramen IDR 98k
Another bowl of our order was Ebio Ramen, a tonkotsu-shrimp based ramen soup with thin kuro ramen noodle and chili pepper raclette cheese. AnakJajan chose Ebio because it reminds us of the tasty shrimp/ebi ramen we had in Hokkaido recently.

Surprisingly it was delicious, we couldn’t stop eating it after the first slurp. Since they use the same tonkotsu based soup, it was rich and tasteful but with interesting characteristic from the use of fried shrimp powder. Imagine the nice taste and aroma from deep fried shrimp combined with luscious pork tonkotsu broth.

As for the cheese, chili pepper raclette cheese has a subtle chili aroma in it, surprisingly the melted raclette cheese didn’t taste too heavy with ramen broth.

Double Raclette – Kuroo Ramen
Being greedy, we got another bowl of ramen, their newly launched Double Raclette Ramen, yess we can get ramen with 2 types of cheese.

AnakJajan got Kuroo Ramen with chili pepper and black raclette cheese. Kuroo Ramen is basically tonkotsu broth ramen with burnt garlic, that explains the black color. The ramen has a deep garlicky taste with subtle bitter burnt aftertaste, it was Mr. Jajan’s favorite.

With the use of 2 cheese, the broth was thicker and creamier, anyone who loves creamy cheesy food would love this.
Samurai Cut IDR 36k/ 100 gram
One of their new menu that got our attention immediately, Samurai Cut with choice of pork charsiu, pork kakuni, pork belly, pork rib grill, pork ball, pork sirloin.

Upon ordering, they will bring the huge meat skewer and grill + slice it directly in front of customer. AnakJajan opted for pork rib grill, pork ball, & pork charsiu. The meat was tender with lovely fire grill aroma, as for seasoning there are 3 options: sweet, savory, or sweet and sour.

Overall, great variety, interesting presentation, enjoyable taste. Ichiro Ramen surely knows how to make a satisfying ramen dish for Indonesian tastebud.
