Hii Sahabat Jajan, do you still remember our previous blog post about Kakakuku in Pluit-Muara Karang area? Famous for their classic dishes like Indomie, Sate Taican, Ropang, Martabak, etc, now Kakakuku is back with more new exciting creations.

Located near Waduk Pluit, Kakakuku offers a nice casual vibes for hangout spot with spacious open space and all kind of dishes that are perfect for late night supper. AnakJajan recently revisit Kakakuku, aside from their regular menu, we can see that they’ve added a few new menu and we decided to give it a try. Their new display of skewers immediately grab our attention.

Inside the fridge, there are meatballs, fishcakes, vegetables, mushroom, and meat skewers ranging from IDR 4k to IDR 19k that can be cooked in two options, hotpot soup or bbq.

Hotpot
AnakJajan got a few skewers for BBQ and a few for soup. There are 3 options of hotpot soup soup Mala IDR 17k, Tom Yum IDR 13k, and Stock IDR 8k, we chose Mala soup.

The soup was served on personal hotpot to keep it warm, soup was savory with medium level of spiciness (adjustable spiciness level) as for the mala it was more on the mild enjoyable version without being too bold strong.

BBQ
For BBQ, AnakJajan opted for BBQ sauce, so after choosing the skewers, they will grill it by order. Even though the skewers were fully covered with sauce, AnakJajan love the fact that it was’t too bold and overpowering.

Garlic, Spiral Potato and Chicken Nuggets were our favorite items, the char grilled aroma certainly played a major role in making the skewers addictive. AnakJajan heard that in the future they will add more meat items.

Indomie Bopung IDR 15k + Egg IDR 5k + Kornet IDR 5k
For dry Indomie, Kakakuku’s signature is Indomie Bopung, so basically it’s classic Indomie Goreng being cooked in their special sambal chili sauce. Imagine the tasty flavor of Indomie Goreng combined with aromatic chili sambal, DA BOMB!!

Indomie Kuah Kari IDR 22k + Egg IDR 5k + Kornet IDR 5k
The curry soup has a rich and creamy broth, it’s bold but still in an enjoyable level without overpowering spices aroma.

Indomie Kuah Secial Kakakuku IDR 22k + Sausage IDR 5k
This Indomie soup version is rather different and unique, it has a clear soup but don’t get fooled because it’s actually very spicy with subtle tangy taste, served with dory fish. Flavorful but clean.

Egg Roll Smoked Beef Mozzarella IDR 32k
Kakakuku’s mozzarella egg roll now has a smoked beef version. The new addition of smoked beef gave the fluffy egg roll more dimensional taste with smoky aroma and savory taste.

Nasi Kucing
On the table, there was a basket full of banana leaf small wraps, it turned out to be Nasi Kucing. AnakJajan got one and it was tasteful, small but packed with addictive flavors.

Tipker Oreo Keju IDR 40k
In the mood for crunchy thin martabak, AnakJajan opted for oreo and cheese filling for sweet and salty cheesy flavor combination, the filling came in generous amount.

Martabak Jagung Keju IDR 80k
For martabak, aside from classic regular serving, we can get it rolled as well. AnakJajan got the rolled martabak filled with cheese and corn. It was such a sinful and delicious treat, great fluffy texture of martabak with just the right amount of filling, sweet salty and buttery.

Overall, as always, AnakJajan left Kakakuku with fully satisfied belly. Love the fact that they keep adding new menu for new options, so anyone can keep visiting without getting bored.
