ON-YASAI Shabu-Shabu ALL YOU CAN EAT (UPDATED)

Let’s continue culinary adventure story at AEON Mall, my currently number 1 favorite mall at this moment. There are soooo many new restaurants that have opened their first outlet in Indonesia at AEON Mall including On-Yasai.
UPDATE: After the first outlet in AEON Mall, On Yasai also has opened another new outlets in Tunjungan Plaza 5, Surabaya and PIK Avenue Mall, Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta.

On-Yasai is a chain restaurant from Japan that serves all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu, Japanese-style hotpot with quality meats and wide variery of fresh vegetables.

Basically, there are four different buffet packages at On-Yasai:

Standard Beef Package IDR 158k Adult/ IDR 98k Child&Senior (Standard Beef + Selected Beef + Chicken Thigh + Chicken Breast + Buffet Counter + Refillable Drink + Ice Cream)
On Yasai Beef Package IDR 228k Adult/ IDR 168k Child&Senior (On Yasai Beef + Standard Beef + Selected Beef + Shrimp + Squid + Chicken Thigh + Chicken Breast + Buffet Counter + Refillable Drink + Ice Cream)
Wagyu Beef Package IDR 298k Adult/ IDR 198k Child&Senior (Wagyu Beef + On Yasai Beef + Standard Beef + Selected Beef + Salmon + Shrimp + Squid + Chicken Thigh + Chicken Breast + Buffet Counter + Refillable Drink + Ice Cream)
Premium Wagyu Buffet IDR 398k Adult/ IDR 298k Child&Senior (Premium Wagyu Beef + Wagyu Beef + On Yasai Beef + Standard Beef + Selected Beef + Salmon + Shrimp + Squid + Chicken Thigh + Chicken Breast + Buffet Counter + Refillable Drink + Ice Cream)

If you don’t want to order the premium buffet package but you still want to try meat that is not available at your package, don’t worry because you can order additional meat with price ranging from IDR 28k to IDR 88k per portion of a la carte.

For example if you order Standard Beef Package for IDR 158k but you are actually curious and want to try Wagyu beef too, you can simply order Ala Carte Wagyu Beef IDR 68k/ portion or Ala Carte Premium Wagyu Beef 88k/ portion.

On the buffet counter, there are plentiful choices starting from appetizer, fresh vegetables, seafood, sausage, deep fried items, salad, fruits, rice, tea, soft drink and variety of condiments (their tomato rice is a must have!)

As for the soup there are four types of soup available Dashi, Chicken & Collagen, Sukiyaki, Spicy and the new Golden Truffle Flavor soup. You can have your soup refilled but you cannot change the soup with other flavor, my advice is you should come with a group of friends and order different soup flavors 🙂 sounds like a great plan isn’t it??

Chicken & Collagen soup has a very rich chicken flavor while the Spicy was savory with a mild spiciness in it. If you love your broth with a bit of sweet flavor, Sukiyaki soup would be the perfect choice and you could add fresh egg in it for extra flavor kick.

For the first timer, AnakJajan highly recommend you to try our favorite Dashi soup, simple basic savory clear soup that is very comforting and goes really well with almost everything.

AnakJajan had the Premium Buffet package, the most complete package with 10 options of beef, chicken and seafood. Our most favorite meat would be the Wagyu with extremely tender texture it could melts in your mouth. But both standard and selected beef were also very delicious and tender already.

Just a simple tip for you to cook the beef perfectly and get the best texture, remember to dip the beef only for seconds in the boiling broth in order to cook it perfectly.

Overall, AnakJajan had a very comforting and heart-warming shabu-shabu meal at On-Yasai. Flavor wise was very delicious and satisfying at the same time. Let’s Jajan!!
