Last weekend on January 23, 2016, AnakJajan visited Panasonic Cooking event at Mall Kelapa Gading 5 Atrium area. The event was held as Panasonic’s commitment in commemorating the National Nutrition Day 2016 to realize a better way of living for all Indonesians.
The event was started by “Healthy Life by Panasonic Cooking” mini talkshow with DR. Dr. Yustina Anie Indriastyuti, MSc., SpGK, Vice President of Indonesia Medical Nutritionists Association (PDGMI), Andien Aisyah, MasterChef Indonesia Season 1 winner Chef Lucky Andreono and Mrs Rika Novita, Product Manager Small Home Appliances, PT. Panasonic Gobel Indonesia.
From the talkshow, AnakJajan learned that besides exercising regularly, consuming a healthy/ balanced diet is also very important to get a healthy body and better quality of life. Aside from choosing balanced types of food that contain sufficient amount of carbohydrate, proteins, healthy fats, vegetables, fruits and fibre, there is one more important things that we all have to pay attention to, that is the cooking process itself.
Processing food affects the amount of vitamins and nutrients left within the vegetables, fruits and other foods. In order to make sure the food contains sufficient amount of nutrient, we need to pay attention to the cooking process as well as the cooking appliances. With high quality of materials (Japan quality) found in all Panasonic Small Home Appliances (Product Cooking) product line-up such as Digital Rice Cooker, Bread Maker, Juicer, Mixer, etc, it can help the consumers in meeting the need for kitchen appliances that provides simplicity and satisfaction when cooking.
At the event, there were a couple of booths displaying and giving demo of Panasonic Small Home Appliances (Product Cooking) where customers can have a closer look of the products, learn how to use it and see the end result. I’m very impressed with Panasonic Bread Maker, the Bread Maker is really fascinating, it can do the mixing, resting, proofing and baking by itself.
As a part of their commitment to create a better life through healthy and nutritious diet, Panasonic also supports MasterChef Asia, a famous cooking competition that showcases amateur cooks with cooking expertise from all over Asia. Besides that Panasonic also held Panasonic Cooking Competition 2016, a cooking competition which utilizes digital platform where the participants uploaded pictures and recipes of their creation to Panasonic Indonesia Facebook page. After 254 participants has registered and shared their 489 recipes, the top 10 finalists were chosen for final competition where the winner will get a free Culinary Trip to Singapore as the grand prize.
Right after the mini talkshow finished, the final stage of the competition between Top 10 Finalists of Panasonic Cooking Online Competition 2016 was started. The finalists need to recreate their favorite recipes using kitchen appliances presented by Panasonic Small Home Appliances (Product Cooking) that are equipped with most advanced technology innovation in food processing.
The finalists were given 2hours to showcase their skills and produce great dish using all ingredients and cooking appliances prepared by Panasonic. The whole process and end result were judged by DR. Dr. Yustina Anie Indriastyuti, MSc., SpGK, Vice President of Indonesia Medical Nutritionists Association (PDGMI) and MasterChef Indonesia Season 1 winner Chef Lucky Andreono.
