WRAPS & ROLLS – FOOD TO GO, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), Jakarta

Another new spot in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area, Wraps & Rolls. The growth of PIK area is just insane, I think almost every week we can spot another new cafe/restaurant there. Wraps & Rolls – Food2Go is managed by Wargasi Group, the same company that manages Locale Diner in PIK area also.

Located at the same row as Locale, Seorae and Yamatoten, it’s hard not to notice the eye-catchy bright colorful exterior of this place.

The interior concept is pretty awesome and artsy with public transportation theme as you can see the front area is shaped to look like a bus, while on the basement area it kinda resembles the look of old train station with colorful fun decor.

With “food to go” concept, Wraps & Rolls serves casual food such as Fried, Chicken Popcorn, Rice Box, Bread Rolls and Ice Cream Bun that are suitable for “grab and go”, but you can also eat it there.

To order the food/ drink, you can go to the counter to order and pay, receive a beeper, when the beeper rings, go to the counter and collect your food.

Potato Fries with Seaweed Dip IDR 28k
Thick cut of fries served with seaweed mayo dip, a simple combination that you can’t go wrong.

Char-siu Rice Box IDR 42k
This particular menu is simply a must must order! Roasted thin slices of char-siu meat served on top of rice with hard-boiled egg. The char-siu was very flavorful. It has a balanced sweet and savory flavor, roasted perfectly until caramelized with a nice charred aroma. The addition of nori flakes on top gave this dish a nice touch of flavor. Sooo good!!

New Yolk Chicken Bread Rolls IDR 32k
Wraps & Rolls produces their own homemade breads and buns. For the bread rolls, this one was AnakJajan’s favorite. The soft fluffy bun is filled with fried chicken that has been covered thoroughly with generous amount of salted egg yolk sauce. It was savory, eggy and addicting altogether.

Pork Rendang Bread Rolls IDR 34k
Personally not a fan of this one, the rendang seasoning was still lacking of rendang taste, we can see the potential from this dish but the seasoning needs an improvement.

Yum Bun Cotton Candy IDR 35k with additional Rainbow Cereal IDR 19k
For the ice cream bun, AnakJajan opted the cotton candy ice cream with additional rainbow cereal topping. The homemade bun itself has a nice fluffy texture similar with donut and it goes really well with cold creamy ice cream, recommended!

Overall, Wraps & Rolls offers a unique and different food-to-go concept with fun interesting interior, the foods are pretty promising, will be back very soon for their Char-siu Rice Box. Let’s Jajan!!
