Jjigae is a type of Korean stew dish typically made with meat, seafood or vegetables in a seasoned broth and one of the restaurants in Jakarta that succeeded in introducing and popularizing Jjigae dish is Jjigae House restaurant. Following its success in the first outlet at Muara Karang area, Jjigae House has opened another new outlet in Kelapa Gading area.
There are total of 3 outlets of Jjigae House at this moment, Muara Karang, Kemang (previously was Sinsa Ramyun) and Kelapa gading, you can check the end of this post for the addresses and maps. AnakJajan visited Jjigae House’s newest outlet in Kelapa Gading, the decor is pretty much the same with bright green color and wooden furniture, you can watch the video below for complete look of the restaurant and food:
JJigae or Korean stew is their specialty, basically you can choose the meat base Beef/ Pork/ Seafood/ Chicken or Vegetarian and then choose the broth Kimchi, Beef or Chicken broth, then the size individual or pot with price range IDR 39k to IDR 59k for individual portion and IDR 74k to IDR 114k for pot portion, the pot portion is suitable for sharing for 2-4person. Other than that, there are Chicken Dakgalbi and the new Fried Rice, Rice Bowl, Ramyun and Bingsoo menus.
FYI, specially for Moslem friends, the outlet in Kemang is Moslem friendly since they don’t serve pork menu there.
Chijeu Buldak IDR 33k
Fried chicken cubes and tater tots with cheese in sweet spicy Korean red pepper based sauce.
Spicy Dakgangjeong IDR 33k
One of my must order items in Jjigae House is their deep fried Korean chicken wings, crispy breaded chicken wings coated with Korean seasoning, now they have two options Spicy or Soy, this time AnakJajan tried the spicy wings, it has sweeter seasoning, I personally prefer the soy one.
Seafood Jjigae with Kimchi Broth IDR 114k (pot) + Egg + Ramyun
Seafood Jjigae consists of mushroom, rice cake, spring onion, cabbage, carrot, onion, sweet potato, tofu, fish balls, clams and prawns, for the broth our favorite is Kimchi broth with slightly spicy and sour taste of kimchi, for extra pleasure you can also add additional topping such as cheese, ramyeon noodle, egg, spam, etc.
Now their Jjigae is also available for Takeaway or Delivery where they pack all the ingredients complete with broth neatly so we only need to boil it easily, it’s perfect for having hassle free and yummy Jjigae party anywhere. Check the video below for closer look at the Takeaway Jjigae.

Fried Rice Kimchi Seafood IDR 86k
Fried Rice is one of their newest creations, there are four options, Kimchi IDR 66k, Kimchi Sausage IDR 76k, Kimchi Spam IDR 76k and Kimchi Seafood IDR 86k. AnakJajan had the Kimchi Seafood fried rice, the fried rice comes with generous amount of mozarella cheese plus egg mixture, I don’t know why but most of Korean dishes go really well with cheese, it enhances the taste into new level.
This new fried rice dish is FANTASTIC!! SOOOO GOOD!! Anakjajan enjoyed it sooo much, the fried rice was really flavorful with well-balanced seasoning, just the right amount of saltiness, sweetness, sourness, the seafood was fresh and sweet and complemented the rice nicely. You just have to give it a try!
Watermelon Bingsoo IDR 76k
For sweet refreshing ending, other than their signature Watermelon cocktail/ mocktail, now Jjigae House also serves bingsoo or Korean shaved ice dessert. This Watermelon Bingsoo is our favorite, cold refreshing shaved ice dessert made from the real frozen watermelon topped with ice cream and jelly.
Melon Bingsoo IDR 76k
Overall, Jjigae House offers a great selection of Korean dishes from Jjigae, Dakgalbi, Kimchi Fried rice, Bingsoo, etc, we highly recommend you to come in a group since the dishes are perfect for sharing. Let’s Jajan!!
