Let’s continue #AnakJajanVIETNAM travel post, after a very long and complete Da Nang and Hoi An Travel Guide, this time AnakJajan are going to share with you one of our most favorite places in Vietnam, the magical Ba Na Hills, Da Nang, Vietnam.
HOW TO GO THERE
The distance between Ba Na Hills’ entrance/ ticket counter and Da Nang International Airport is around 24km with travel time around 30 to 40 minutes via car ride.
Other than joining tour, another great way to reach this place is by using taxi with taxi fare approximately around VND 450,000 for two ways between Ba Na Hills and Da Nang city centre with 4 hours of waiting time.
ENTRANCE FEE
The entrance fee for visitors outside Da Nang is VND 600,000 for adult/ VND 500,000 for children between 1 – 1.3 meters/ FREE for children under 1 meter.
Specially for Da Nang residents, the entrance fee is VND 400,000 for adult/ VND 300,000 for children between 1 – 1.3 meters/ FREE for children under 1 meter.
Ticket is valid within 1 day.

CABLE CAR
From the ticket counter or gate, visitors are going to have an memorable journey using the cable car. Ba Na Hills’ cable car system is one of the most impressive cable cars in the world, in fact it is the World’s Longest single-rope cable car system 5,801m and also the world highest difference between departure station and arrival station 1,368m.
The journey riding World’s Longest Cable Car is a pretty fun experience AnakJajan got to say especially on bright sunny day because you’ll get to enjoy the breath taking panoramic mountain view.
LE JARDIN D’ARMOUR FLOWER GARDEN
There are tons of attractions and places to visit in Ba Na Hills from wine cellar, temple, shrine, pagoda, park, etc and one of the must visit places is the Le Jardin D’Armour with gardens inside with 9 different themes where each garden represents the feeling of love.
The gardens are nicely arranged with pretty patterns and colorful flowers, it is definitely one of the favorite photo spots in Ba Na Hills.
MERCURE BA NA HILLS FRENCH VILLAGE HOTEL
AnakJajan personally think that the most convenient way to enjoy Ba Na Hills is by staying in the Ba Na Hills at Mercure Ba Na Hills Hotel. The hotel is located nicely in the beautiful French Village.
For lunch, AnakJajan had our meal at L’etable in Mercure Ba Na Hills, the restaurant offers local Vietnamese cuisine from a few regional made with organic ingredients.
AnakJajan had the Mon Khai Vi or crispy seafood spring roll served with chili fish sauce, Mon Salad or beef salad with baby cress, onion, tomato, shrimp crackers, Mon Chinh or beef stewed with lemongrass and chili served with baguette and Trang Mieng or cream caramel with Da Lat strawberry. The spring roll was our favorite with delightful crunchy texture and salty sweet yet sour sauce.
For dinner and breakfast, AnakJajan had a buffet meal at La Crique with modern market concept. The restaurant offers great variety of food such as cheese, meats, fruits, pastries, homemade pasta and even local Vietnamese food like Bun Bo Hue or spicy beef noodle soup.
FRENCH VILLAGE
Welcome to the magical French Village!! Located around 1,487 meters over the sea water level, the climate in Ba Na Hills is pretty cool and breezy, it was around 17 degrees celcius at night during our stay.
Inside French Village there’s a Wax Statue Museum filled with many famous figures from music, movie, sports, politics, etc industries. You can also enjoy various art performances in French Village.
The sky was overcast when we got there, in fact it was drizzling a little while in the afternoon, that explains why the weather became foggy during the night, resulting a mysterious yet romantic vibes.
Every corner of French Village is so pretty and picture worthy or instagenic no wonder we saw so many couples having their pre-wedding photo session in Ba Na Hills.
With the classic music tune then detailed yet impressive design of building, walkway, water fountain, etc, it makes us feel like being somewhere in Europe instead of Vietnam.
Lucky us in the morning the weather was sunny with pretty blue sky so in the end we experienced three different atmosphere in French Village, cloudy, foggy and sunny.
One of the perks of staying in Mercure Ba Na Hills is you get to enjoy the quiet French Village in the morning and get nice pictures without getting photobombed. In the morning, we also had a fun slide ride without queuing, it was quite an exciting ride with amazing scenic view.
Overall, visiting Ba Na Hills was a magical experience for us, the scenery was breathtakingly beautiful with lovely and picturesque environment. This place is definitely highly recommended if you’re traveling to Da Nang, Vietnam. Let’s travel!!
For our flight back to Jakarta, AnakJajan had a fly-Thru connection from Da Nang to Jakarta via Kuala Lumpur, we had Ayam Penyet with Rice complete with crunchy “kremesan” for our in-flight meal, it was a pretty flavorful and enjoyable meal. Our #AnakJajanVIETNAM trip honestly is beyond our expectations, the people are nice, food is amazing and also lots of interesting places to visit, big thanks to Air Asia and Da Nang Tourism for an awesome yet unforgettable trip in Vietnam. Cảm ơn 🙂

Hi, does the entrace fee include the admissions for the cable car ride/french village/Le Jardin D’Armour? 🙂
Yes, it’s included if I’m not mistaken 🙂
hi, one more question regarding the entrance fees, the 600,000 which we pay is including for 2 way ride of the cable car right? so we don’t have to purchase a new cable car ride back down if we are coming down after 2 days stay at the mercure? thanks.
Yup, I suppose so since it’s for 2 way ride.
Hi, is there any return bus ticket that we can purchase to go from Da Nang to Ba Na Hills?
I think there is from the city center, but I’m not sure about it
Hi, one question here, how to & how much will it cost for a one-way trip to Mercure French Village from Da Nang airport? H
Hello, I’m not sure about the cost for one-way trip, perhaps the half of the price.
Hi do you have restaurant recommendation there? and does the price is expensive? I just booked a night at mercure
Hi, inside the French Village there are restaurants from Western to Asian Vietnamese cuisine and the price is relatively still reasonable. Have fun! 🙂
