If we have to name one of our favorite cake vendors in Jakarta, Moivel Cakes is definitely in the list.
Moivel formerly known as DCL Cake has been established since 2 years ago via online delivery, AnakJajan have been a huge fan of their unique chocolate cake creation and now they have opened the first outlet in Emporium Pluit mall 4th floor.

Moivel’s signature Chocolate Cake is a unique and exquisite creation. Basically there are 7 flavors available, Original, Thai Tea, Green Tea, Salted Caramel, Xtra Dark, Mocha and Lemon.
The cake consists of three layers, chocolate sponge cake, premium chocolate filling and cream made with premium ingredients with no color addictive, no trans fat and no buttercream.

The cake can be enjoyed in room temperature, cold from the fridge or heated on microwave for melting sensation. AnakJajan personally enjoyed both hot melted and cold from the fridge version.
For hot melting sensation, you need to microwave the cake for only 10 seconds to let the premium chocolate filling melts.

Salted Caramel IDR 25k
This one was my personal favorite, I just love the sweet and salty taste from the caramel topping, it complements the richness from the chocolate cake and filling.

Signature chocolate cake with smooth and light chocolate cream topping.

X-Dark IDR 25k
Perfect for dark chocolate lover with bitter sweet flavors and deep chocolate taste.

Mocha IDR 25k
Unique mocha aroma using the combination between coffee, chocolate and vanilla.

Lemon IDR 25k
This one is perfect if you don’t fancy sweet creamy taste because it uses refreshing sweet and sour lemon cream.

Moivel uses great quality of matcha, the cream has a very delightful green tea aroma with slightly bitter taste typical green tea. Lovely!

Major love this one too!! Silky smooth, sweet, creamy, and aromatic Thai tea cream.

The chocolate cake is not the typical lava cake you find out there, the cake itself is already so yummy with soft spongy texture but it tastes even better with the ultra rich chocolate filling and light yet creamy topping, sooooo goood, soft, moist, chocolatey and additive, we can definitely taste the great quality of the ingredients. The cake is also very well-balanced with the right amount of sweetness, one is definitely not enough!

Other than the signature chocolate cake, Moivel also offers whole cakes. There are two variants:
O-Cheesecake IDR 28k/ slice or 250k/ wholecake
Cheese cake with cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. The cake was soft, spongy, buttery and moist with slightly salty taste from the generous amount of cheddar cheese.

Similar with the cake above only with addition of shredded chocolate to give extra bitter sweet and rich chocolate taste in it, it’s a sweet, slightly salty, cheesy and chocolatey cake.

Overall, personally for AnakJajan Moivel has a new and unique chocolate cake that is different and special compared to cakes from other places, if you love chocolate cake, this one is highly recommended, give it a try, we’re sure that you’ll love it as much as we do.
