Every time AnakJajan visit Japan, we simply cannot miss the chance of having the luscious cheese tart from Pablo. This year during spring 2016, AnakJajan visited Pablo’s Premium Cafe outlet in Dotonbori, Osaka where you can enjoy more variety of cheese tarts in spacious seating area, so while waiting for the opening of new outlet in Indonesia, we might as well give you sneak peek of the Pablo’s products.

You can find Pablo’s shops all over Japan such as in Tokyo, Osaka, Hokkaido, Shizuoka etc, also in Myeong-dong, Seoul and Taipei City, Taiwan. Most of Pablo’s outlets are take-out outlet with no seating area, some outlets offer small seating area, other than that they also have casual cafe and premium cafe with more selection of cakes and drinks.

Pablo Cheese Tart’s outlet in Dotonbori, Osaka is premium cafe, on the first floor is the take-out outlet, while on the second floor is the cafe with spacious seating area and wide variety of menu such as the signature Cheese Tart, Cheese Fondue, Toast, Sandwich, Icecream, Premium Cheese Tart, Mini Cheese Tart, Coffee, Beer, etc.
Berry Mini Cheese Tart JPY 930
The regular cheese tart’s size is 15cm, in the cafe they serve 8 types of Mini Cheese Tarts served with one scoop of ice cream and sauce/ jam, the size of Mini Cheese Tart is slightly smaller than regular, around 10 to 12 cm I think. AnakJajan love the variety of cheese tart’s flavors here such as original plain, matcha, chocolate, cinnamon apple, etc.

Since we were craving for the original cheese tart, AnakJajan ordered the Berry Mini Cheese Tart consists of original mini cheese tart, berry ice cream and berry compote. The cheese tart as usually has an amazing crunchy and flaky pie crust. The best part from this tart is their luscious smooth molten cheese filling with sweet and slightly salty flavors, it’s soooo light, airy and not overly cheesy, you’ll definitely fall in love after the first bite. OISHIIIIII~~

Fresh Cheese Soft Cream JPY 350
As a big fan of Japanese soft serve ice cream, AnakJajan simply cannot miss the chance of trying their cheese soft serve ice cream and it was good! It tastes like milk soft serve ice cream with subtle hint of cheese and salty flavors. Love the fact that the cheese is not over powering.

Premium Cheese Tart JPY 550
On the other hand, the premium cheese tart has a dense yet smooth texture with more heavy cheese flavor in a good way topped with crunchy caramelized sugar.

In Tokyo, one of the easiest outlets to find is located in Shibuya area near Shibuya 109. The outlet here is a take-out outlet with no seating area.

The seasonal menu is usually selling out very fast but we highly recommend you to get the signature and freshly baked Cheese Tart JPY 850 (15cm diameter), it is available in rare or medium, AnakJajan personally enjoy the rare version with soft molten filling.

Overall, Pablo Cheese Tart is definitely one of the most popular cheese tart chains in Japan with their unique cheese tart creations. AnakJajan believe many of you including ourselves are already drooling while thinking about the cheese tart, let’s be patient because it will be available in Jakarta very soon!! Cannot wait!!
