Situated in Plaza Pondok Indah 2, Hatchi is the new establishment opened by H Group, the same group that manages H Gourmet & Vibes Senopati. The newly opened restaurant and bar specializes in fusion Asian dishes such as porridge, noodle, bao, rice bowl, flatbread, Asian tapas, etc along with wide variety of alcohol and non alcohol drinks.
The restaurant and bar is located right beside Pepenero Plaza Pondok Indah 2, first floor is the restaurant area while bar area is on the second floor. Talking about the interior concept of Hatchi, it is quite interesting yet quirky with the combination from all sorts of Asian inspired accents such as neon sign, illustration of dragon, maneki-neko or Japanese lucky cat figurine, etc.
Here are some of the recommended dishes that we’ve tried:
Jipi IDR 29k
For starter, AnakJajan had the deep fried chicken skin served with creamy jalapeno sauce. The crunchiness from deep fried chicken skin was really addictive, remember to request for additional garlic soy sauce for the extra flavor kick.
Yangnyeom IDR 39k
Chicken wings seasoned with Korean inspired sauce. The sauce was very flavorful, salty, sweet and spicy altogether.

Striploin Porridge IDR 50k
The porridge has a thick texture and packed with umami flavor served with crunchy tempura flakes, katsuobushi or bonito flakes, nori flakes and thin slices of striploin. It was very comforting yet enjoyable, major love for the tender beef striploin.
Poke Bowl IDR 65k
AnakJajan were excited with this menu since it’s still very hard to find poke bowl in town. Hatchi’s version of poke bowl consists of steamed rice, fresh marinated salmon and tuna, scallion, and housemade poke sauce. The salmon and tuna were fresh and seasoned nicely, but it was under our expectation, AnakJajan personally think that it would taste better if they use sushi rice instead of plain steamed rice.
Wafu Cold Udon IDR 60k
Mr. Jajan’s favorite, cold udon dish with scallion, tobiko, crunchy tempura flakes, deep fried horenzo and wafu dressing. The udon was springy and seasoned thoroughly using soy based sauce with a bit of acidity to make this dish not too heavy. The extra crunch texture from the toppings makes it more delightful.
Salted Egg Hokkian IDR 60k
Noodle with sous vide chicken leg, goma, scallion and salted egg cream. It tasted pretty enjoyable but we could hardly taste the salted egg flavor in it, on the other side the chicken leg was nice and flavorful with Chinese inspired five spice seasoning.
Make Your Own Noodle: Lamian IDR 9k + Tonkotsu Broth IDR 20k + Nori IDR 6k + Corn IDR 6k + Tamago IDR 6k + Beef IDR 25k
In Hatchi, you can make your own noodle by choosing the ingredients based on your own palate.
You can choose the type of noodle (ramen or lamien noodle), broth (dashi or tonkotsu) and various toppings. AnakJajan opted for lamien noodle, tonkotsu broth with beef, tamago, nori and corn as the topping and it was delicious. The broth was light yet comforting but flavorful enough.
Matcha Tiramisu IDR 45k
Matcha Tiramisu was the perfect sweet ending for our meal with the smooth creamy texture and delightful aroma combination between matcha, coffee and cinnamon.

Overall, flavorwise it was pretty enjoyable for us. Hatchi serves an interesting modern Asian fusion inspired dishes, the creations are unique and uncommon in a good way. Let’s Jajan!!
