Another new exciting addition to the food scene in PIK area, this time a promising new comer in PIK Avenue Mall specializes in Japanese food, Akatama Sushi restaurant.

Located on the GF floor of PIK Avenue Mall, you can easily spot the new restaurant by its chic, modern and posh decor dominated by grey color.

I think starting from the late 2015, the trend of Japanese food in Pantai Indah Kapuk has been growing due to the high demand especially for good quality of authentic Japanese food. That makes Akatama Sushi a great addition to PIK’s food scene.

Akatama’s main focus is Sushi and Sashimi, but other than that they also serve various Japanese dishes such as Donburi, Kushiage, Kushiyaki, Yakimono, Udon, Chazuke, Bento, etc with reasonable price ranging from IDR 18k to IDR 220k.

Sashimi Moriawase IDR 220k
For starter, AnakJajan had a sashimi platter consists of 2 toro, 2 shima aji, 2 salmon belly, half hotate (scallop) and 2 amaebi beautifully arranged by the chef. Love the freshness of the sashimi, great cut, nice texture and amazingly delicious. The amaebi or prawn sashimi was unbelievably sweet, love it!

Sushi Moriawase IDR 220k
In sushi restaurant, sometimes it’s hard to make a decision on what to order and luckily Akatama has sushi set with all time favorite sushi in one platter. The platter consists of toro, amaebi, gunkan, shima aji, hotate aburi, salmon belly and hokkigai sushi. The sushi rice was nicely cooked and well seasoned, ingredients were fresh and tasty especially the scallop/ hotate aburi and amaebi.

Tempura Moriawase IDR 55k
Assorted seafood and vegetables deep fried in light crunchy tempura batter. It was nicely cooked, perfectly crispy and not greasy at all. The ebi or prawn tempura was sweet and huge.

Okosama Bento “A” IDR 65k
Bento box with chicken karaage, california roll sushi, tamagoyaki, miso soup and tempura. Love the cute design of bento box.

Sushi Bento IDR 115k
Premium bento set with assorted sushi and tempura. This is a great choice if you’re craving for both sushi and tempura where you can get a lil bit of everything in one platter.

Overall, AnakJajan are really happy that PIK finally has another great restaurant addition for Japanese food. Akatama certainly serves great authentic Japanese food with great flavors and quality fresh ingredients, a great option for lunch or dinner if you’re going to PIK or PIK Avenue Mall. Let’s Jajan!!
