JIN MU RESTAURANT – Pluit Village & PIK, Jakarta

Famous for their Dumplings, AnakJajan have been big fan of Jin Mu Restaurant for years. After their first outlet in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), now they’ve opened second outlet in Pluit Village Mall offering Chinese comfort food and Shanghai style dumplings.

AnakJajan recently visited Pluit Village Mall and we gotta say that there are lots of new interesting shops popping out and one of their newest additions is Jin Mu restaurant on the 1st floor.

All the dumplings menu in Jin Mu are freshly made by order and it’s Shanghai style so you can expect to find dumplings like Xiao Long Bao, Kuo Tie, and Sui Kiaw. Every time we visit Jin Mu, we always order their Xiao Long Bao, it’s soooo good we can easily say that it’s one of the best in town.

Aside from dumplings, Jin Mu also serves wide variety of Chinese comfort food like handmade La Mien, Porridge, Seafood, Tofu, Vegetables, etc.

Guo Tie Isi Babi Kucai IDR 57k
First time trying their kuotie and got hooked immediately! It was incredibly tasteful, juicy meaty generous filling, soft elastic skin, nice crispy crust. Loved it so much, we are certainly gonna order it every time we visit Jin Mu!

Xiao Long Bao Isi Babi IDR 47k
As we mentioned before, we always come to Jin Mu for their Xiao Long Bao and it still remains good as we remembered. Thin soft skin with incredibly savory meaty filling in the middle and juicy hot soup inside. Pair it with ginger and vinegar for the best enjoyment.

Lamian Sapi Iris Szechuan IDR 49k
As the name suggests, the spicy lamien noodle soup was no joke! You have to becareful when sipping the soup because it’s so spicy! The bold strong aroma of chili and chili oil was so addictive. All their Lamien noodle is freshly made, you can see the chefs making their signature hand-pull noodle from open kitchen.

Lamian Babi Hong IDR 59k
One of their new Lamien creation, lamien noodle with thick slabs of soy braised pork belly and half boiled egg. The soup was light, savory and comforting, pork was well marinated, it can be more tasty if more tender.

Ayam Goreng Terapi IDR 65k
Recommended by the manager, we decided to give their Ayam Goreng Terapi a try and it was fingers licking good! The fried chicken was fully covered with spicy garlicky seasoning, savory with subtle sweetness, bold in flavors, spicy but still in enjoyable level. The kind of dish that screams for rice.

Hot Plate Tahu IDR 75k
We can easily tell that they use homemade tofu from the first bite. The egg tofu was so soooo soft and smooth, beautiful texture, well balanced savory flavor served on sizzling hot plate, so good!

Pork Knuckle IDR 257k
Gigantic huge of fried pork knuckle, uber crispy on the outside yet meaty tender on the inside. The whole pork knuckle will be served in front of the table, then the waiter will cut it in front of customer. It’s served with chili garlic and spicy chili sauce resulting a spicy savory garlicky flavor mix, so good no wonder that this menu is so popular.

Overall, satisfying meal as always at Jin Mu. All the dishes were nicely executed and tasteful, we can see ourselves coming back for more (their Kuotie is our new found love!).
