[JAPAN] REISSUE LATTE ART CAFE – Harajuku, Tokyo

A bit of cuteness will make our day even more special don’t you think so? 😀 During #AnakJajanJAPAN autumn 2016 trip, AnakJajan visited Reissue Cafe, a unique coffee shop in Harajuku area, Tokyo that is famous for their 2D and 3D Latte Art.

A few days before our trip, Mr. Jajan showed me a photo of super cute latte art on instagram because he knows I love this kind of thing, then after doing some deep google searching I finally found the cafe, apparently it’s located conveniently in Harajuku area so I decided to put this cafe on our itinerary.

You can pick your choice of hot drink, Cappuccino, Cafe Mocha, Vanilla Cafe Latte, Caramel Cafe Latte, Honey Latte or Hot Chocolate Latte and then request for 2D or 3D latte art with additional JPY 400.

Basically you can ask the barista to create any image that you want for 2D or 3D latte art, simply show the picture to the staff and the the barista will do his magic. The cafe offers a few of food and dessert menu as well, but since we were still full from our yummy fluffy pancake lunch at Happy Pancake Omotesando, we didn’t order any food menu here.

During our visit, the cafe was packed full with customers, well 99% of the customers were women and poor Mr. Jajan being the sweetest husband had to accompany me 😀
All of them ordered 2D or 3D latte art and there was only one barista who’s in charge with latte art, so it took quite a while to get our orders prepared.

Me and Mr. Jajan ordered two cups of 3D Latte Art, for the first cup we requested 3D latte art of kawaii Shiba Inu dog and it didn’t disappoint, the barista meticulously created the image of Shiba Inu just the way I wanted. For the second cup, I requested 3D Gudetama latte art since I’m obsessed!! (raise your hands if you’re also big fan of gudetama!!!! 😀 ) the result was way simpler than I expected but it was still kawaii (read: cute) though hehe.

The 3D latte art surprisingly can last quite long, on the other side coffee tasted nice as well, well-balanced, rich and bold altogether. Compared to the other coffee shops in Tokyo, Reissue Cafe definitely has its own charm by offering unique 2D and 3D latte art. Let’s travel deliciously!! 😉
