TOBY’S ESTATE COFFEE INDONESIA – PIK Avenue Mall, Jakarta

Just in time when I started to miss Australia a little too much, one of the famous specialty coffee roasters has finally arrived in Indonesia, Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters.

Buttermilk Chicken and Corn Fritata IDR 105k

Toby’s Estate Indonesia’s first outlet is located in PIK Avenue Mall ground floor, it’s officially opened for public on 10th December 2016. During the opening ceremony event, the founder of Toby’s Estate, Toby Smith shared some stories about when he learnt how to grow, roast and cup coffee at the source and mastering the art of specialty coffee roasting, he is indeed very passionate with his coffee.

The shop is spacious with chic and modern decor typical modern Australian coffee shop with slow bar area in the middle for customer to experience the beauty of manual brewing. One thing that I love from Toby’s Estate Indonesia is the opening hour, it opens early in the morning from 8 AM, making it very convenient to grab coffee or breakfast in the morning.

Specially in Toby’s Estate, they only use 100% high grade arabica beans where they provide plentiful options of coffee drinks from manual brewed coffee till classic espresso based coffee made with Mavam Espresso machine, the price range for coffee drink is IDR 28k to IDR 65k. There were three options of Single Origin, Sumatra Mandheling, Kenya Malimbe ABC and Brazil Fazenda Imperio

AnakJajan visited Toby’s Estate Indonesia during the opening ceremony, it was very crowded and packed with guests, we didn’t have a chance to really enjoy the coffee so we cannot share any comment about the coffee yet.

To offer more complete experience, other than coffee, Toby’s Estate also serves various Australian style breakfast, brunch and dinner dishes with price ranging from IDR 30k to IDR 155k, AnakJajan heard that Avo on Toast, Buttermilk Fries Chicken on Corn Fritata and Ricotta Pancakes are some of their recommended signatures.

Beef Ragu Pappardelle IDR 95k
Nicely executed pasta dish, we love the fact that they use homemade pappardelle pasta cooked nicely with al dente texture and seasoned beautifully with rich slow cooked tomato based beef ragu with delightful tangy kick.

Kale and Quinoa Salad IDR 95k
It was an enjoyable salad with with charred kale, red quinoa, shredded chicken, pickled cauliflower and shallots, very fresh, light and zesty.

Patty Melt Burger IDR 105k
Served with fries, the beef burger’s taste surpassed our expectations, in fact it was really well made with juicy tender beef patty, bernaise sauce, tomato and apple relish and caramelized onion.

Brioche French Toast IDR 95k

Buttermilk Chicken and Corn Fritata IDR 105k
This menu was our most favorite, succulent juicy deep fried chicken with golden crispy batter served with coleslaw, spring onion & corn fritata and ranch dressing. Very tasteful and addictive, we couldn’t stop after the first bite also it comes in huge portion.

Overall, congratulations once again Toby’s Estate Indonesia for the opening! Going to have another visit for more complete experience of the coffee and food. Let’s Jajan!!

You should change the opening hour you wrote to 8 am. Came here at 7 to avoid the crowd after reading your review turns out they open at 8 everyday but have different closing hours on weekends.
