Attention gelato lovers! There’s another new gelato shop opened in town at Senayan City Mall, aROMA Gelato Experience, a 100% homemade natural gelato shop originated from Europe.

Ice cream always makes me happy! As an ice cream maniac, I’m quite happy with the new addition of gelato scene in Jakarta, following the opening of Grom in Jakarta previously, aROMA Gelato Experience also specializes in homemade gelato with 100% all natural ingredients without any artificial flavor and no flavor enhancer which is a great fact to know.

The shop in Senayan City is located on LG floor in front of Bread Talk dominated with black and white colors with small seating area behind the shop. I think there are a dozen of options, mostly with unique and interesting flavors but lots of flavors were soldout during our visit, by the way to accompany their gelato menu, aROMA also serves Coffee and Tea.

Basically there are 4 serving options Piccolo 2 flavors IDR 38.1k, Medio 3 flavors IDR 54.1k, Grande 4 flavors IDR 77.1k and La Famiglia 500gr for takeaway IDR 177.1k, for cone there will be IDR 4.5k additional charge.

AnakJajan opted for Grande with Strawberry with Mint, Mango Alphonso, Pistachio and Mocha or Chocolate with Coffee, while our friends chose Piccolo with Hazelnut and Pistachio. One of the plus points of aROMA is they’ll drizzle melting dark chocolate on top of our gelato order.

Texture wise, aROMA’s gelato is impressive, it has a really nice smooth and sticky texture typical Italian gelato. While taste wise, they’re doing a great job in creating rich and bold flavors by using all natural ingredients, fresh and fruity with sweet and sour flavors from Strawberry Mint and Mango Alphonso, while Pistachio and Mocha have just the right amount of creaminess only a tad too sweet for my liking especially after having a few bites.

Although it’s quite messy to eat gelato with cone, we highly recommend you to get cone version since the cone itself tastes really scrumptious with delightful crunch texture. Let’s Jajan!!
