[JAPAN] A VISIT TO GLICO ICE CREAM FACTORY

A while ago, AnakJajan had a special privilege to visit the factory of our favorite ice cream brand, the no.1 ice cream in Japan, Glico Ice Cream. It was a memorable unique experience that we really want to share with you.

Another throwback to our previous trip to Japan, we were invited to visit the factory of no.1 ice cream in Japan, Glico. As you can see from the picture me and Mr. Jajan were wrapped fully in this white suite in order to visit the factory because they’re very strict with hygienic factory environment, not to mention the top notch technology. It was an interesting experience to see the process also to enjoy ice cream fresh from the factory. As you can see from the pictures above, all of us including me and Mr. Jajan were wrapped fully in this white suite in before entering the factory.

In front of the factory entrance, we had to clean our bodies from dust using body vacuum and dust roller, then wash our hands and enter a room that will blow all the remaining dust. Upon entering, we were given hand gloves and we also had to clean our gloves with hand sanitizer. It was such a long process of cleaning before entering the factory we can tell that they are incredibly strict with hygienic factory environment.

Inside the factory, we were shown around the production process of Glico Ice Cream and seeing the factory with all the advanced technology was extremely fascinating.

All the processes are well integrated from mixing ingredients, processing until packing they do it automatically and precisely with the machines, then to make sure of product’s best quality, there are assigned staffs to do the quality checking of their products. It was such an eye opening experience to see all the processes and also the factory smells really nice especially in the ingredients mixing area.

For a sweet ending, there’s nothing better than having Glico Ice Cream products fresh from the factory!! Being an ice cream maniac or you can call me greedy, I grabbed and tried so many items I lost count 😀

Overall, me and Mr. Jajan are honestly really impressed with all the advanced technology, strict quality control and hygienic factory environment of Glico Ice Cream’s Factory.
