Hello Sahabat Jajan, remember our last visit to Holyduck PIK last year? The casual Balinese restaurant located at the same building as Holywings PIK has launched a series of new menu recently to offer more complete option for their customers.
The new menu launched in early March 2017 consists of appetizer, soup, and rice dishes. In this post, AnakJajan are going to share with you some of the new menu along with the signature items that cannot be missed when in Holyduck.
Sup Ayam Sedap Malam IDR 45k
Having a lot of family visitors, Holyduck added Sup Ayam Sedap Malam to their menu as a comfortable dish that can be enjoyed by everyone including children. It’s a chicken and vegetable soup dish served in huge portion for sharing, the broth was indeed very comfortable and delightful.
Sup Ayam Garang Asam IDR 57.5k
Half chicken cooked in spicy and sour soup, it’s spicy and delicious. The use of your tomatoes gave the soup a very interesting and enjoyable refreshing acidity. Love it!
Tum Ayam Bali IDR 35k
For starter, AnakJajan had the new Tum Ayam Bali, chicken breast covered with spices and shredded coconut then wrapped in banana leaves and steamed until cooked. The chicken was full of flavor with all those seasoning fully absorbed into it nicely, it would be perfect if it can be a bit more tender.
Nasi Campur Merah Bedugul IDR 58k
This new mixed rice dish consists of rice (brown or white), “gulai ijo” duck, tempe “orek”, duck “lawar”, “sate lilit”, crackers and Balinese “sambal matah”. By default, they will serve the rice dish with brown rice but if you prefer white rice, you can simply ask them to change it.
The duck was extremely tender, rich, savory and it didn’t have any unpleasant smell. All ingredients were complementing each other resulting a very festive combo of texture and flavor, it’s a great option for quick and satisfying lunch.
Nasi Campur Bali IDR 52k
If you prefer chicken than duck, they also have chicken version of mixed rice dish. All of the condiments are similar only they change the duck with Betutu Chicken. The betutu chicken was tender, savory with subtle spicy taste. For extra flavor they add Serundeng or Indonesian spicy fried coconut flakes, it goes really well with rice.
Sate Bebek Gilimanuk IDR 35k
A unique signature dish that is simply a must order when you’re in Holyduck, satay or grilled skewer using duck meat. The duck meat was nicely grilled with nice charred aroma, then seasoning was also spot on, sweet and savory altogether, don’t forget to enjoy it with the Balinese “Sambal Matah” and “Sambal Kecap” condiments for extra flavor kick.
Ayam Goreng Penyet IDR 72k
FYI, if you don’t fancy duck, there are plenty of chicken dishes too in Holyduck for example this one, Ayam Goreng Penyet or deep fried chicken smothered with chili sauce and then served with steamed rice, “plecing kangkung”, “sambal matah”, and “sambal goreng. Once again, the portion is satisfyingly huge!
Signature Crispy Duck IDR 88k
One dish that you simply cannot miss having in Holyduck is the Signature Crispy Duck. The crispy duck is extremely addictive with the savory taste and crispy texture on the outside while tender on the inside, it’s deep fried nicely and not greasy at all, served with 3 spicy chili condiments. One of the BEST in town we must say and the price is also very reasonable compared to other places in my opinion.
Overall, reasonable pricing, huge portion and great flavor, Holyduck is still one of a few places in Pantai Indah Kapuk area for great Balinese cuisine especially for the Balinese Crispy Duck.
