Introducing HOURS: COFFEE & MORE, the fresh new cafe in Kelapa Gading area offering coffee, food, and more.

The new spot is officially open for public starting 7th August 2017. If you follow our Instagram Stories (@ANAKJAJAN), just a few days before the opening, AnakJajan had the chance to visit HOURS to try some of the menu and we gotta say that this place is going to be a hip spot in Kelapa Gading.

First impression, great and spacious space! Located in an office building near MOI, just across NJIS, you can easily spot the huge HOURS signage. We love the playful mix of the whole decor, it’s homey, it’s quirky, it’s artsy, and it’s definitely instagenic!

This spot offers a totally different vibes compared to other places in Kelapa Gading or even in the whole Jakarta, it feels nice to have a new spot with fresh concept like this.

At the front area, there’s a coffee bar, followed by juice bar inside with spacious seating area including private rooms that could be a nice venue for events. As the name suggest, you’ll find many clock displays arranged neatly with other artsy ornaments.

If you got lucky, you can meet Milky and Coffee, the cafe owner’s cutesy corgi puppies. I guess the cafe is pet friendly since Milky the light brown corgi puppy was at the cafe during our visit and he’s just the cutest!

The cafe offers wide range of dishes; Breakfast, Superfood, Light Bites, Soup, Salad, Mains, Coffee, tea, Cold Press Juice, and Smoothie with price ranging from IDR 35k to IDR 250k for food, and IDR 15k to IDR 60k. Here are some of the items from the menu that AnakJajan tried:

Cappuccino IDR 35k, Picollo IDR 35k
HOURS offers black and white espresso based coffee drinks as well as filter coffee. Both our Cappuccino and Picollo were nicely executed with great balance and nice consistency.

Acai Bowl IDR 50k // Chia Seed Pudding IDR 50k
From the super food category, HOURS has Acai Bowl and Chia Seed Pudding topped with festive ingredients and pretty presentation. Both were tasty and fresh but our favorite has gotta be the Acai Bowl with refreshing fruity sweet and tangy taste.

Fried Chicken Wing IDR 60k
Presentation on point! Just look at the cute bathtub bowl! The taste is delightful as well, uber crunchy on the outside with nice Korean-inspired soy-based glaze.

Oven Baked Mussel IDR 65k
Fresh mussels topped with golden buttery and garlicky bread crumbs, it’s enjoyable.

Prawn Mango Salad IDR 55k
Thai-style mango salad with prawn. It’s zesty, fresh, and very appetizing.

Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad IDR 60k
The caesar salad here uses a unique twist by incorporating pesto in the creamy sauce resulting a new and enjoyable taste.

Sirloin Steak (350gr) IDR 250k
The Angus beef steak here is certainly no joke! Served on a super huge portion, the 350 grams of sirloin steak will totally satisfy. The meaty steak is served with tasteful side dishes; savory baby potatoes, juicy caramelized mushroom, baked garlic, and spinach. For extra flavor kick, they provide tangy chimichurri sauce on the side.

Overall, HOURS has its strong points, great vibes, nice coffee, tasty food, it’s a charming new place that we can happily call as the NEW IT PLACE in town!
