AnakJajan recently had a chance to visit Jin Bao, it’s located near Starbucks PIK with huge red Bao signage. The food was impressively beyond our expectations. It’s certainly one of a kind in town and we can happily recommend it to you.

Cheese Tea IDR 35k
Wohoooo finally the Cheese Tea trend has entered Jakarta’s food scene. Here they have Jasmine/Wu Long/Green Tea. AnakJajan opted for Wu Long Cheese Tea. Love the roasted aroma in the tea, it brings a nice balance to the light creamy cheese topping with subtle cheese aroma and salty taste. Just nice without overpoweringly sweet.

Sheng Jian Baos-Classic Pork Filling IDR 48k
In case if you’re not familiar, Sheng Jian Bao is a type of pan-fried dumpling filled with blend of minced pork and collagen filling thats juicy soupy. And the ones in Jinbao are seriously legit good. Great texture consistency of dumpling skin filled with uber yummy juicy and flavorful minced pork filling, you can slurp the soup inside the dumpling.
It was sooo good we didn’t need any condiment anymore, but you can try to eat it with condiments provided (Soy, Ginger, Chili, & Garlic) for different eating sensation.

Another specialty dish from Jin Bao is their Bao Burger. This Hong Shao Bao consists of tender well marinated caramel pork belly, red onion pickle, and peanut powder. All of the bao buns are homemade and you can enjoy it as you like whether you want it steamed, toasted, or deep fried.

For this one, we opted for deep fried bao bun with crispy texture on the outside. It consists of broiled sukiyaki beef slices, sesame mayo, red radishes & greens. The beef was incredibly tender and full of flavor.
All of the Bao Burger comes with a side of Sweet Potato Fries. The dipping sauces, Hoisin Ketchup and Szechuan Mayo are seriously to die for!!

This noodle dish instantly got us hooked! In fact it’s our TOP FAVORITE dish there. The egg noodle is cooked in spicy mapo sauce, minced pork, tofu, crispy bacon, and edamame. Noodle was springy nice with savory bold seasoning and spicy kick, all of the items complement each other into one harmonious dish. RECOMMENDED!
