Introducing current talk of the town, Le Burger in Alila SCBD, a gourmet burger bar by Chef Jean-Georges and Cédric Vongerichten.

The burger bar offers small range of food, focusing more on their specialty, you can find 6 types of Burger and 1 Hotdog as main with a few selection of appetizer and dessert ranging from IDR 50k to IDR 150k for food with wide range of alcohol drinks.

First things first, the bun, we always judge a burger whether it’s good or not from the bun, the bun here in Le Burger was nice, soft fluffy and not dry.

Next important element would be the patty, it was uber juicy and meaty, cooked in high fire until almost burnt resulting a nice crusty surface, somehow it reminds us of Henry’s Burger in Daikayama, Tokyo. It was tasteful but unfortunately our burger (also our friend’s burger) was too salty, the kitchen surely needs to control the amount of salt they use.

To accompany the bun and patty, they use truffle sauce, brie cheese and lettuce, simple and not too much to let the patty become the star.

Crispy Chicken IDR 110k
To our surprise, the crispiness totally lived up to its name. The chicken was juicy, well marinated, and nicely coated with crispy batter on the outside, completed with chipote mayo and togarashi.

Crazy Fries IDR 75k
Drizzled in cheese sauce with caramelized onion, and chopped chili. The caramelized onion plays a major role in elevating the fries with its juicy sweet flavor, quite addictive.
