Where barista meets baker, all the way from Singapore, Joe & Dough Indonesia has opened their first outlet in Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta (second outlet is coming soon at Puri) offering specialty coffee and artisanal bakes like Croissant, Cruffin, etc.

Unlike their outlet in Singapore who focuses more on take-out, their outlet in Indonesia focuses more on dine-in, that explains the menu selection, here in Joe & Dough Indonesia, they have brunch and main dishes to satisfy hungry tummies.

Butter Croissant IDR 25k, Matcha Chocolate Croissant IDR 30k, Meringue Croissant IDR 30k, White Chocolate Croissant IDR 30k
Handmade front scratch without preservatives, AnakJajan gotta admit that Joe & Dough makes a great artisanal croissant. It has crunchy flaky texture on the outside while still very moist on the inside. Matcha Chocolate Croissant is our fav, surprisingly the matcha chocolate goes really well with croissant, we enjoyed it so much.

PB&J Cruffin IDR 35k
Their PB&J Cruffin is easily our favorite too, flaky pastry texture with strawberry jam in the middle and whipped peanut butter on top, it’s an irresistible sweet and salty combo.

JD Cookie Cup IDR 55k
This coffee menu has a unique presentation in chocolate glazed cookie cup and toasted marshmallow. For a specialty coffee place, their coffee can be better, perhaps we were just unlucky and got a bad batch since our two cups of coffee were watery, gotta give it another chance next time.

Emping Nachos
Since these food menu are specially created for Indonesia’s outlet, they added local ingredients into the menu such as Emping Nachos that turned out to be very delicious complete with salsa, cheese, and sour cream.

Rendang Coney Dog IDR 120k
Hotdog with Indonesian twist with emping chips and rendang. A funky but surprisingly tasty combo, very bold and strong in flavor, suitable for Indonesian palates.

Short Ribs with Mac & Triple Cheese IDR 180k
Out of 3 food items we had, this one is our top favorite. The short ribs were tender and packed with flavor, very bold but perfect to balance the cheesy taste from mac & cheese.

Overall, great brunch menu, well made pastries, Joe & Dough’s croissant easily become our top fav in town. Gotta plan a visit soon since I’m craving for the Matcha Chocolate Croissant.
