Speaking of Spanish food, tapas is a classic staple. For legit good tapas in Jakarta, AnakJajan must say that Tapas Club in Setiabudi One building offers great authentic Spanish flavors.

Out of many countries in Europe, Spain has a special place in our hearts. Our trip to Spain in 2017 was an eye opening experience, the historical buildings are beautiful, the people are warm and friendly, the food selections are spectacularly delicious and it suits our Indonesian palates really well.
So when it comes to Spanish food, we are quite selective. Tapas Club in Setiabudi One has opened for quite some time already, but we only managed to try it recently and gotta give our stamp of approval for the food. You can find Tapas Club in Singapore and Malaysia as well.
As the name suggests, Tapas Club offers authentic Spanish Tapas as their signature item. In case you don’t know, Tapas means appetizer or snack served in small portion, we usually like to order a few kind of tapas for sharing.
Sangria IDR 125k/ glass or IDR 440k/ jug
Having Spanish food is not complete without enjoying wine or sangria. Tapas Club has extensive alcohol selection. We got Sangria which Mr. Jajan enjoyed so much and white wine.

Croquetas De Pollo IDR 55k
Each restaurant has their own croquette recipe. The chicken croquette here uses no potato, it’s some kind of cream croquette, very smooth and creamy in the mouth.

Tortilla De Patatas IDR 55k
Tapas Club’s Spanish omelette uses generous amount of egg with chunks of potato, very classic.

Huevo, Patata Y Jamon IDR 80k
Me and Mr. Jajan’s top favorite tapas here!! Perfectly cooked soft boiled egg, soft fluffy potatoes and ham with hint of truffle oil aroma. Mix it well for flavor explosion in the mouth, savory creamy tasty!

Torreznos Con Trinxat IDR 90k
Grilled pork belly served with cabbage potato and red sauce. It was enjoyable but not as memorable as other dishes for us personally.

Gambas Al Ajillo IDR 110k
Out of many tapas selection, this is one of the most classic ones and you definitely HAVE TO TRY IT. The Gambas Al Ajillo or garlic prawn dish was fresh crunchy with nice garlicky salty flavor. Don’t forget to dip the bread into the shiny glorious garlicky oil.

Paella Mixta IDR 190k
Please note that the gigantic paella in the pictures below is specially made for event only. If you go there, you can order the normal portion of Paella Mixta for IDR 190k. Paella Mixta is a classic paella combination between chicken and seafood, it was cooked nicely with great savory taste in it.

Churros Con Chocolate IDR 40k
Their fried dough pastry was well made, crunchy on the outside while a bit chewy on the inside, it would be perfect if the chocolate dip can be thicker.

Mousse De Quesco Con Frutos Rojos IDR 65k
Unique presentation we must say, it looks like deconstructed cheese cake with blueberry jam for nice fruity kick.

Overall, AnakJajan can say that Tapas Club did a great job with their Spanish food, great flavor, nice ambiance, lovely tapas selection. Their food brings back so many good memories, definitely a top favorite in town for Spanish tapas.
