GRAM PANCAKE CAFE – Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta

All the way from Osaka, Japan to Jakarta, Indonesia. GRAM CAFE & PANCAKES Indonesia is finally here at Plaza Indonesia.

Gram Indonesia will start to open for public on 11th July 2019. It’s located on the 2nd floor of Plaza Indonesia next to H&M.

As we all know, Gram is famous for their Premium Pancake. The fluffy pancake is like work of art with jiggly fluffy texture.

Since it’s freshly made by order, please allow long waiting time for around 20 or 30 minutes and remember that it’s available in limited quantity.

Premium Pancake IDR 150K
For their signature menu, Gram Indonesia has the same policy as Gram Japan. There are only 20 servings of Premium Pancake available on each session (11.00, 15.00, 18.00) everyday.

Price wise, IDR 150k before tax and serving is quite expensive for Jakarta standard, well maybe because of the cost of ingredients is already high? Me and Mr. Jajan tried Gram Japan last year May 2018 and it costs JPY 950 before tax per portion.

Taste wise, it’s pretty similar with the one we had in Japan. The jiggly pancake is very fluffy and kinda eggy, typical Gram’s Premium Pancake. It is enjoyable for us but we wouldn’t rave about it, well it all comes down to personal preference.

Mixed Fruit Pancake IDR 140K
The normal pancake has dense texture, not our personal preference since we prefer fluffy thick pancake. The cream is really good though, cold light and not overly sweet typical Japanese style cream.

Tiramisu Pancake IDR 140K
Compared to mixed fruit pancake, this one tastes more moist since they drizzle it with coffee based sauce and put custard in between.

Overall, Gram’s Premium Pancake is definitely the star of this cafe, the jiggly thick texture is special and one of a kind. Taste wise, it all comes down to personal preference.
