Chin Ma-Ya Ramen now has 2 outlets, Chin Ma-Ya Ramen Red for Pork based menu at The Springs Serpong, and then Chin Ma-Ya Ramen Green for No Pork & No Lard menu at CBD Gading Serpong.
Established since 2012, Chin Ma-Ya Ramen has become local favorites for ramen. AnakJajan has previously reviewd Chin Ma-Ya Ramen Red with their pork menu. In this post, we’re going to share detailed review for Chin Ma-Ya Ramen Green with No Pork & No Lard menu.
Chin Ma-Ya Ramen Green is located strategically at CBD Gading Serpong next to Gas Station with spacious parking area. The restaurant has 2 floors with nice Japanese ornaments for the interior, the second floor has tatami room as well.
Some people might think that good ramen has to use pork but that’s not true, in fact Tori Paitan or chicken broth based ramen has its own charm too. Even though it uses no pork and no lard doesn’t make it less delicious, chicken ramen broth can be thick creamy and rich in flavor too.
Uji Matcha IDR 45k, Matcha Kinako Latte IDR 52k
Love the fact that Chin Ma-Ya serves premium matcha drink with ingredients directly air flown from Japan. Both Uji Matcha and Matcha Kinako Latte were as delicious as expected. Perfect thirst quencher on hot sunny day.
Smoked Paitan Ramen IDR 75k (R)
If the regular size is too big for you, they have small portion too which costs IDR 59k. The white chicken soup has nice creamy consistency with just enough thickness to sip. The soup was packed with umami, savory, flavorful and very tasty. It was as good as our expectations.
For topping we chose Smoked Paitan Ramen with smoked beef, corn, butter and roasted chicken. All the toppings were complimenting each other, giving the ramen nice addition of flavor and texture kick, roasted chicken breast was also succulent juicy. A simple prove that good ramen doesn’t always need to use pork or lard.
Wagyu Don IDR (MB5 Wagyu) 210k
Chin Ma-Ya Green has launched new wagyu menu and this is the most special one. Rice bowl with grilled MB5 wagyu, onsen tamago and Chin Ma-Ya special sauce. First impression would be the beef, it was SO TENDER!!!
Juicy tender and well seasoned, we really love the special sauce with perfect balance of sweet and salty. It kinda reminds us of yummy premium gyudon we had at Tokyo previously. Price wise honestly is quite on the high side for Gading Serpong area but considering the generous portion of beef and the taste, it’s actually worth the price.
Wagyu Loco Moco Don IDR 81k
The portion is no joke HUGE!! Rice topped with omelette, hamburger steak and sauce. The savory tomato based sauce gives the dish a nice tangy fresh flavor kick. Hamburger steak itself is very meaty, a super filling dish for hungry tummy.
Wagyu Menchi Katsu IDR 58k
Minced beef cutlet is also available in deep fried a la carte version.
Chin-Ma Harusame IDR 40k
Mapo tofu is one of Chin Ma-Ya signature item, instead of regular mapo tofu rice, we tried this one with vermicelli. Their mapo tofu has medium spiciness level with aromatic spices aroma. Compared to the rice version, it has stronger taste since the sauce is fully absorbed into vermicelli.
Ebi Gyoza IDR 39k (S)/ IDR 55k (R)
Gyoza is seriously a MUST ORDER. Give it a try and thank us later because it’s THAT GOOD! Me and Mr. Jajan had their Ebi Gyoza which uses minced shrimp, dory and veggie, the gyoza skin was thin and elastic while filling was packed with umami, juicy tasty and yummy. Double thumbs up!
Overall Chin Ma-Ya Green is definitely doing a great job in creating delicious no pork & no lard dishes. From our visit, our top favorites would be Smoked Paitan Ramen, Wagyu Don and Ebi Gyoza. Give it a try, we’re sure that you’ll enjoy it too. Oishi!!
