Just like what we told you from our latest tips on Ultimate Japan Travel Guide / TIPS, if you want to have more fancy meal but still with affordable price make sure you have your meal during lunch and order Lunch Set Menu available. Matsurokuya is an authentic Japanese restaurant located at Roppongi, around 1-3 minutes walk from Roppongi Station (you can see the map below). During lunch time, Matsurokuya offers an A5-rank Kurogewagyu-beef lunch set for 1.300 yen only (1 yen = ± IDR 110), this is a really GREAT deal considering it usually cost at least 5.000 yen for dinner.

Hot tea was serves for free. In the middle of you meal, staff will come and serve a pot of tea soup and a bowl of additional rice. Then two pieces of ogura chocolate dessert in the end of meal.

At first, AnakJajan was kinda confuse on how to eat the dish, yet the staff was super nervous handling us because they are not good in english. But a couple sat next to us luckily are able to speak English and being super helpful telling us everything we need to know about this restaurant and the dish.

So apparently the way to eat this dish is first enjoy the beef itself, then eat if with the rice and condiments, after that you can add more rice and mix all of the ingredients into the bowl all together, pour the tea soup and eat it as an Ochazuke dish (rice soaked with tea).

The Japanese couple told us that we are super lucky to reach this restaurant and queue on the right time and being able to try this dish because this restaurant only serves 40 lunch sets daily.

As you can see from picture above, the wagyu beef has a really nice marbling in it, it was soooooo tender it melts in your mouth literally, the beef was seasoned nicely with soy-sauce based sauce. Beneath the rice you will find even more slices of beef, crazily generous! My oh my, writing about it makes my mouth starts watering!!

Dessert was superb too, it may looks so simple but it was soooo damn good! A unique texture and rich flavor combination between red bean and chocolate.
