PAPAJO EATERY – Lippo Mall Puri

Introducing the newest spot in west Jakarta, Papajo Eatery at Lippo Mall Puri.

Papajo is located in the outside area of Lippo Mall Puri right beside Trattoria restaurant. You can simply spot this restaurant from its catchy blue, pink and yellow sign.

Consist of two floors, the restaurant itself is not too spacious but very cozy and homey with bright natural light and furniture with bright yet vibrant color.

Talking about the food, you can find Bak Kut Teh, Rawon till pasta here. From Western to Asian food, Papajo has it all.

Bangka Roast Pork with Butter Rice IDR 128k
Roasted pork served over butter rice. The roasted pork is seasoned with tauco sauce typical Bangka style roasted pork that’s why the seasoning of roasted pork is more likely to the sweet side. It was pretty enjoyable for me personally, I love the crunchy pork crackling on top also the savory rice with umami flavor.

Papajo Sloppy Fries IDR 37k
A pile of golden fries topped with melted cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and a house special sauce. It was decent.

Pork Belly Bun IDR 32k
Chinese style soy simmered pork belly served with steamed bun. It was quite enjoyable as the pork belly was tender and well marinated.

Nasi Goreng Babi Rica IDR 48k
Simple yet humble fried rice dish that kinda reminded us with Nasi Goreng Kampung with its turmeric spice.

Spicy Crispy Garlic Noodles IDR 42k
This one is our less favorite dish, sauteed noodles with spicy garlic served with shrimp dumplings. Noodle was stiff and not springy enough while seasoning was more likely to chili oil, couldn’t taste the garlic at all. On the other side, shrimp dumplings were not bad.

Crispy Pork Loin with Butter Rice IDR 52k
Pretty similar with Bangka Roast Pork rice dish above but they change the pork into deep fried breaded pork loin served with black pepper sauce. If you prefer savory flavor, this one will be more suitable for you.

Overall, food at Papajo was pretty decent and enjoyable with cozy homey ambiance. We might be coming back for their butter rice dish if we happen to be in this area. Let’s Jajan!
