From Singapore to Jakarta, introducing a new European – Asian all day dining restaurant by Les Amis Group, Socieaty at Plaza Indonesia.
Socieaty is an unification of several restaurants by Les Amis Group from Singapore consist of Italian trattoria by La Strada, French eatery by Bistro Du Vin, Spanish La Taperie and bakery Tarte.
The restaurant is pretty spacious and located on the ground floor of Plaza Indonesia. Since it is a combination of several restaurants, you can find wide range type of cuisine here, let’s see the food they have.
Fried Baby Squid IDR 95k
This might be one of the most tender squid ever! Deep fried baby squid covered with black ink batter served with aioli dipping sauce. The squid was so so soooo tender it will melt in your mouth while crunchy on the outside.
Garlic Chili Prawn IDR 148k
Simple yet delicious starter, juicy and fresh prawns with savory garlic seasoning and a lil bit of heat from chili.
Parma Ham Piadina IDR 118k
Crunchy thin Italian flatbread topped with parma, sauteed mushroom, arugula and balsamic glaze. It was crunchy, savory and addicting.
Salmon Piadina IDR 118k
Similar with the dish above but with different toppings, smoked salmon, sour cream and honey dill mustard. Suitable for fish lovers, as for myself I enjoyed Parma Ham version better since I’m such a meat lover.
Spicy Chicken Quesadilla IDR 148k
The quesadilla might look pale but it tasted pretty good actually. It was fresh, sweet, savory, tangy and refreshing at the same time where every ingredients are complimenting each other from the tomaro sriracha marinade chicken, bell pepper, pineapple, onion, parsley and mozarella cheese.
Roast Chicken (half) IDR 128k
This roast chicken was extremely satisfying and beyond my expectation. Well marinated and roasted, the chicken was really juicy and tender with aromatic Asian spices served with potato and garlic bean.
Lamb Shank IDR 265k
Slow-cooked lamb shank with onion, cherry tomato confit, crushed potato. The lamb itself was extremely tender and nicely executed it didn’t have any unpleasant lamb smell at all, but on the other side seasoning was a bit bland.
Suckling Pig IDR 460k
Suckling pig confit served with peach and caramelized onion condiments and fries.
Price wise might be a bit shocking considering the portion but it was one of the delicious pork dishes with amazing crunchy crackling. Fork-tender, falling-apart juicy pork meat with thin dry non-greasy crackling, uhhmazing!
Truffle Carbonara IDR 228k
Lovely the texture of homemade pasta with creamy cheese sauce. I personally enjoyed it very much as it has the right amount of creaminess and cheesiness with complimenting aroma from truffle. It kinda reminds us of the tasty Bakmi Truffle we had in Bottega.
Souffle with Ice Cream IDR 95k
Souffle dessert requires 20 minutes of cooking, here in Society there are 5 flavors of souffle you can choose, Grand Marnier, Hazelnut, Chocolate, Berries and Matcha. AnakJajan had the chocolate and hazelnut, both were equally delicious with soft fluffy moist texture. They definitely know how to cook the souffle well.
Floating Island IDR 65k
This dessert is sooo unique you definitely have to give it a try! Extremely moist and cloud like meringue drizzled with vanilla sauce, candied almond and caramelized sugar.
Tarts IDR 38k/pc
Besides desserts above, you can also try their delicate tarts with various flavors such as Mango, Caramel Hazelnut, Strawberry, Pistachio, Dark Chocolate and Passionfruit Meringue. Our personal favorite would be the refreshing Mango made by using the local harum manis mango.
Overall, our dinner at Socieaty was a satisfactory, from starter to dessert we enjoyed it all. If you are looking for a fresh and new place to eat, this could be the one. Let’s Jajan!!
