DORÉ by LeTAO. Located at Plaza Indonesia, this lovely shop DORÉ is subsidiary brand of LeTAO from Hokkaido, Japan.

Fromage Cake is the specialty of DORÉ, it is a kind of cheesecake with soft melty texture available in three different flavors at DORÉ Indonesia, Original, Chocolate and Matcha Green Tea.

Here in DORÉ Plaza Indonesia you can choose to dine in or take away, for dine in they have 3 small tables. For takeaway, just like typical Japanese brands, they will pack it in pretty looking boxes that are very suitable for omiyage or souvenir. Other than the Fromage Cake, they also sell various cookies and chocolate.

Chocolate Fromage Cake IDR 45k (+ Drink Set IDR 70k)
The original and matcha greentea fromage variants were soldout for dine-in during our visit so we could only try the chocolate fromage cake, it consists of cream cheese layer with a layer of chocolate cake base and topped with mascarpone cheese mousse and chocolate crumb. The texture of cheesecake was very light yet smooth with a tasty creamy bitter sweet combo, it reminded me of ice cream cake texture. FYI, it is available in whole cake size for IDR 250k (12.7cm diameter) and specially for the slice cake is only available for dine in.

Fromage Ice Cream IDR 40k (+ Drink Set IDR 65k)
Anyone who loves ice cream and cheese simply has to give this a try! Creamy rich cheese ice cream with sweet and salty taste, so sooo good! Sadly the ice cream had this kind of ice texture, I suspect because of the improper storage method at the freezer.

Both for the fromage cake and cheesecake we opted for tea drink set, they serve hot tea from Lewis and Caroll here.

During our visit, the storekeeper gave us some samples of their cookies, a simple small gesture that reminded us with the hospitality we had in Japan. We tried the cheese, chocolate and earl grey cookies, it was very delicious, buttery, fragrant and not overly sweet, our favorite was the cheese cookie with savory sweet taste and strong cheese flavor.

Overall, the Fromage Cake from DORÉ was delicious, very creamy yet light at the same time, definitely one of the most recommended places for great quality of cheese cake in town. Let’s Jajan!!
