Unveiling the all-new concept, Pearl Chinese restaurant in JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta is now back with new and more exciting concept.
Recently AnakJajan had a visit to Pearl Chinese restaurant for lunch, first impression was the warm Chinese decor. The restaurant is dominated with lovely combination of red and gold with huge window opening facing a nice green view, the revamping process is still on-going, by time they will add more accents and ornaments in the restaurant.
As for the food, now Pearl offers upgraded modern Cantonese cuisine, therefore you can find wide variety of modern Cantonese menu with unique taste and interesting plating. Here are some of the signature items:
Hand Made Mango Prawn Ball IDR 138k (for 2-3 pax)
The presentation is just spot on! Deep fried prawn ball filled with mango and passion fruit sauce served on paint palette, it looks like one beautiful artsy painting. The taste is equally as good as its look since the crunchy prawn balls with savory taste are nicely complemented with fruity sweet and sour taste from mango and passion fruit.
Foie Gras, Peking Duck with Pearl Rice IDR 168k (for 2-3 pax)
Well this is a GOOD ONE, we highly recommend you to try it! The foie gras is nicely seared and served with fluffy rice, crunchy thin peking duck skin. The use of mustard and hoisin sauce is just a very clever idea since it bonds everything into one harmonious taste. So yummy it keeps us wanting for more.
Caramelized Wild Salmon IDR 118k (for 2-3 pax)
Another interesting creation, fried salmon drizzled with sweet citrusy sauce and fresh pomelo. The sweet fruity taste from the sauce adds a nice complexity to the dish creating a desirable flavor.
Iberico Pork Ribs with Butter and Pepper IDR 188k
Pork lovers are going to love this, roasted pork with butter and pepper. Specially for this dish, they use Iberico pork that’s tender and soft, the fat just melts in the mouth easily. It’s served with chili sauce and fresh salad to balance the greasiness of pork.
Water King Prawn with Egg Noodle IDR 168k (for 2-3 pax)
The proportion is just right on, it’s nicely cooked just the way we like it, savory and packed with prawn aroma. The egg noodle is being deep fried first before getting drizzled with thick gravy so you’ll get a unique springy crunchy texture from the noodle.
In addition to the a la carte menu, every Sunday Pearl offers Sunday Brunch priced at IDR 280k++ from 10.30 to 14.30.
It’s basically All-You-Can-Eat package with more than 40 menu selection to choose like Steamed Dim Sum, Deep Fried Dim Sum, Starter, Soup, Main Course, Dessert, and Fruits.
Overall, lots of love for Pearl Chinese Restaurant, the food was very yummy beyond our expectation, we were surprised by how good it was. AnakJajan can easily say that the food in Pearl Chinese restaurant is indeed one of a kind with nice innovative creation and pretty presentation.
