INDODINER – BAR & DINER, Pluit

Another new instagrammable place to recommend, IndoDiner, a bar and diner located in Pluit, North Jakarta, near Emporium Pluit Mall with unique diner concept decor in pastel colors.

Upon arriving, you will be greeted by unique bus shaped building entrance, it’s so catchy you can easily spot this place from the street.

The diner has two floors with nostalgic diner interior concept with black and white tiles, neon lights including classic diner counter stool.

The first floor is dominated by turquoise color. There’s stage for live band on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 21.00.

Crispy Pork Belly with Sambal Matah IDR 76k

The most instagrammed spot from Indodiner would be the second floor area with full pastel pink decor from the bar stool, ceiling, even the floor is pink.

Make sure to check the toilet area too since it looks retro with black and white tiles plus pink petrol hose pipe, that explains why this spot is soo popular on instagram.

AnakJajan bet the main reason you want to visit this place would be because of the the place right? Anyone can easily agree that the cute decor is Indodiner’s main selling point but surprisingly the food tastes great too.

Serving mainly classic Indonesian dishes, there are a few of Asian & Western fusion dishes too with price ranging from IDR 36 to IDR 90k. As for drink, there are alcohol and non alcohol beverages ranging from IDR 26k to IDR 266k. Here are some items we tried:

Nasi Ndud IDR 46k
This dish reminds us of Nasi Gila with egg, sausage, meatball cooked in tomato based sauce. It tastes delicious with balanced sweet and savory level, the rice itself has light seasoning in it too. It’s comforting and filling, the kind of taste that you get bored with. Portion is uber generous, will definitely order it again on our next visit.

Kopi SUBUH
The cold cream coffee has balanced creaminess without overpowering the taste of coffee. Personally we prefer to enjoy it with ice.

Crispy Pork Belly with Sambal Matah IDR 76k
The pork belly is quite tender with crispy pork crackling and just the right amount of saltiness plus sambal matah for extra spicy kick. Love the fact that they use fragrant rice for this dish.

Theater Popcorn IDR 60k
The most instagenic menu here, milkshake drink topped with caramel popcorn in retro popcorn box. The presentation is sooo pretty and it suits the diner’s theme. The corn flavor is a bit too subtle but still enjoyable as milkshake.

Peanut Nutty IDR 79k
This dessert is DA BOMB YUM! Imagine the combination between fluffy warm buttery peanut butter toast with chocolate, cold vanilla ice cream and luscious Nutella Baileys sauce. Irresistibly yummy! Seriously a must order!

Overall, Indodiner is easily one of the most instagrammable spots in town, to our surprise the food is nicely made too which makes it a complete combo, good food and good place.
