We’re thrilled to share our new tasty finding, Oppa Korean BBQ by Mr Park at Greenville, West Jakarta serving affordable Korean BBQ & Jjigae where most of the meat cost IDR 15k/ portion (No Pork, No Lard).

If you have heard about Mr. Park restaurant in SCBD area, well Oppa Korean BBQ is their new affordable concept.
Korean BBQ trend is getting bigger and bigger, because usually Korean BBQ is expensive, AnakJajan think that this budget friendly concept is great idea.

Even though price is important, taste is definitely MORE IMPORTANT. The reason we’re so excited to write this blog post is because after trying it, we can say that it’s worth visiting.

The concept is self service where all menu is a la carte. Upon entering, you can head to the the display and choose all the ingredients you need, pay it at cashier, and the cook it on you own.

Located next to the display, there’s sauce area with plenty of condiments options. Besides Korean sauce, they have Indonesian sambel ijo & terasi as well, we’re not complaining though since the sambal taste delicious too hahaha.
Japchae IDR 20k
This is quite unique because the Japchae is served in uncooked version so you can cook it on your own with all the ingredients and sauce prepared. It’s super easy to cook, simply sautee the veggie first then add the noodle and sauce.

Surprisingly it turned out to be delicious too with well balanced flavor. To make it more delicious, AnakJajan highly recommend you to cook the Japchae together with Bulgogi Oppa SC IDR 15k, it complements each other nicely.

Doelmisal IDR 15k, La Galby IDR 20k, Woo Sam Gyeop IDR 15k
Doelmisal & Woo Sam Gyeop has nice fat layer in it, since it’s thinly sliced, it’s very quick & easy to cook. Both meat were tender and best paired with ssamjang & seo seo sauce for us personally.

Our most favorite meat would be La Galby, thick cut of beef ribs marinated in sweet savory sauce. It was tender and well marinated, no wonder this menu has become one of their best selling items.
Buddae Jjigae IDR 75k
Yesss, besides BBQ, they have Jjigae as well. For IDR 75k per portion, AnakJajan must say that it’s impressive since the portion is quite big for 2 up to 4 person. You can also add additional ingredients such as Fish Ball IDR 3k/pc or meat or sausage.

Each portion consists of chicken & beef sausage, noodle, cheese, beef, baked bean, meatballs, kimchi, and vegetables. The kimchi broth was tasteful, as good as we expected, savory full of umami with nice spicy kick. Masisseoyo!

Overall, delicious food doesn’t always have to be expensive, as long as they have the right ingredient and recipe, it can turn out to be great. Oppa Korean BBQ is definitely worth visiting, the price is reasonably affordable with great taste. Plus since it’s a la carte, you can adjust the portion and budget based on your need.
