During our #AnakJajanThailand trip to Bangkok back in October 2015, we explored so many tasty places and Sansab is one of our most favorite places, mostly because of the Tom Yum UFO.
Sansab is a Thai food restaurant located in Bangkok, they have plenty of outlets, we visited the outlet in Siam Paragon. It’s located on the 4th floor restaurant area, one thing that we love from that outlet is the bright and good lighting making us easier to take better picture.
Sansab offers wide variety of authentic Thai dishes with reasonable price, midway through last year they have become trending in social media mainly because of their unique Tom Yum UFO dish, a tomyum soup dish served in large cast iron pan with various toppings.
Deep Fried Spicy Minced Pork Salad THB 110
Coconut Juice THB 60
Since we were on food hunting mission and we had a long list of places to visit, we only ordered the Tom Yum UFO dish only along with one side dish and drinks. The Deep Fried Spicy Minced Pork Salad was quite unique, minced pork ball with spicy sour seasoning.
One important thing you should remember, don’t forget to drink Coconut Juice as much as possible when you are in Thailand. Their fresh Coconut Juice is very very sweet and refreshing.
Tom Yum UFO Seafood THB 570
Tom Yum UFO is available in two versions, Seafood THB 570 or Pork THB 470. Since the pork version uses many processed meat such as sausages, we opted for Seafood version, after all tomyum soup goes really well with seafood, isn’t it??
Tom Yum UFO seafood consists of tom yum soup, quail eggs, corn, seaweed soup, noodle, prawn, squid, fish ball, crabstick, mushroom, baby corn and melting mozzarella cheese. To enjoy this dish, you can simply mix everything together, or try dipping the ingredients such as noodle or seafood into the melting cheese. The cheese gives a nice creamy flavor to the soup and also it reduce the spiciness level from the soup.
This dish was PHENOMENAL!! The soup was sour, spicy, rich, savory and very addicting, all ingredients including the cheese were very suitable for the spicy sour soup. If there is one thing that could be improved, it would be the amount of the soup, it would be perfect if we could ask for refill because the pan is very flat and only can accommodate a small amount of soup.
Overall, tasty soup, fun eating experience. Tom Yum UFO is definitely a must try when you are in Bangkok. Let’s Jajan!!
