After lots of restaurants from Japan open in AEON Mall BSD (check out the other blogpost for complete shopping and eating tour in AEON Mall), there’s a new addition that might be an exciting news especially for coffee enthusiasts, Hario Coffee Factory.

The name of Hario is probably familiar to most coffee enthusiasts since the company from Japan produces many great coffee equipments and they recently have opened a coffee shop called Hario Coffee Factory offering espresso based coffee, manual coffee using V60/ French Press/ Cloth Dripper/ Siphon, cold brew coffee, manual drip tea and other drink options.

The coffee shop located inside AEON Department Store on the first floor with simple yet cozy decor typical Japanese coffee shop along with display of some Hario products for sell as well. It has a few selection of local coffee beans such as Sunda Candrawinata, Sunda Aromanis, Sunda Hejo and Flores Manggarai.

Hot Matcha Latte IDR 35k
The hot matcha or green tea latte was delightful with nice matcha aroma and not overly milky but a tad too sweet for our palates.

Cold Brew IDR 35k
Since AnakJajan had rich chocolate drink at Kakolait before going to Hario, so we opted for cold brew instead. The cold brew tasted decent but very light.

Red Velvet Swiss Roll Cake IDR 20k
This one was disappointing, the cake was not fluffy nor soft, the texture was too dense with sweet and boring buttercream instead of cream cheese.

Overall, if you’re looking for a cozy place for coffee break in BSD area especially in AEON Mall, Hario Coffee Factory could be one of the options, well it’s not the best in Tangerang for us personally (based on the recent visit) but decent enough. Let’s Jajan!
