Dory Fish Beccafico IDR 60k
First let’s start with the hot appetizer. This dish consists of deep fried breaded dory fish with sauteed onion and raisin. It is an interesting yet delicious sweet and savory combination between the crunchy savory dory fish and sweet caramelized onion with raisin. Sprinkle with a bit of lemon juice for extra tangy fresh taste.

Trofie Arrabiata IDR 85k
Trofie is a short, thin, twisted pasta from Nothern Italy, the shape reminds us of Indonesian cendol. This kind of homemade pasta is kinda rare in Jakarta, it was our first time trying it in AW Kitchen and we loved it.

This Trofie Arrabiata is a favorite menu in AW Kitchen Japan, it consists of trofie pasta and cooked with eggplant, cherry tomato, beef bacon/ bacon. The homemade trofie pasta has a nice elastic al-dente texture, while the seasoning itself was very rich in tomato’s sweet, sour, and savory taste with a bit of creamy taste, it was an interesting and different kind of pasta dish in a good way.

Tomato Sauce Spaghettini with Blue Crab and Zucchini IDR 168k
Compared to the dish above, this one has more fresh and light tomato sauce with rich taste of sea from the use of whole blue crab. The addition of blue crab meat gave the pasta a luscious sweet taste of seafood.

Nero Spaghettini Asparagus Ikura IDR 135k
For creamy pasta lovers, this one is top recommended! It consists of squid ink spaghettini, salmon roe, green asparagus with cream and cheese sauce. The homemade squid ink spaghettini was very delightful with al-dente texture while the sauce was very palatable and creamy but still in the right amount of creaminess level.

This specialty best selling dish in AW Kitchen still remains my number 1 favorite dish in AW Kitchen!
All dente spaghettini in aromatic garlic oil with juicy Japanese mushroom, seaweed flakes and Spicy Cod Roe or mentaiko.

Wagyu Sirloin with Wasabi Pepper Sauce IDR 368k
Grilled Wagyu sirloin served with grilled peppers, fresh vegetables, potato gratin and sauce. For the sauce, AW Kitchen offers rather unusual combination of sauce such as Porcini Sauce, Wasabi Pepper Sauce, Miso Sauce, Ginger Sauce and Jalapeno Mustard Sauce. AnakJajan had the Wasabi Pepper Sauce, it was savory and a bit creamy with subtle taste of wasabi, I’m not a fan of wasabi but this one was surprisingly yummy.

The black cod fish was very buttery, tender, well-seasoned and juicy with melt-in-the-mouth texture, as for the sauce the are five options, Soy Truffle Sauce, Black Pepper Crust, Balsamic Teriyaki Sauce, Spicy Salsa Sauce and Lemon Caper Cream Sauce. We tried the Balsamic Teriyaki sauce and it was uniquely different and flavorful, slightly sour, slightly sweet and goes really well fish.

Cannoli IDR 58k
Cannoli is an Italian pastry dessert of the Sicily region, crispy deep fried tube-shaped pastry filled with sweet creamy filling. Unlike the popular tiramisu, cannoli is still pretty rare and hard to find in Jakarta especially the decent one and I’m glad that AW Kitchen is doing a great job with their cannoli.

The tube-shaped pastry was nicely fried till crispy and not greasy at all, filled with cream and sweet orange peel inside, served with fresh fruits and blueberry jam. The cannoli itself first tasted a bit too sweet but once we paired it with the fresh fruit and sour blueberry jam, it became very balanced.
The addition of fruity taste in the cannoli is a very smart idea, it made this dessert not too heavy and enjoyable.

Banana Tiramisu IDR 68k
This is not any ordinary tiramisu you can find out there, it is currently Mr. Jajan’s number one favorite tiramisu in Jakarta. Smooth, creamy, light-tasting, not too sweet tiramisu with banana and crunchy caramelized sugar on top.
