Unlike Italian, Chinese, Indian and many other cuisines, Peruvian cuisine is rather uncommon in Jakarta. Peruvian cuisine is very interesting since it’s influenced by so many cultures from the immigrants from Europe, Asia and West Africa where they modified their traditional dishes using local ingredients available in Peru for example Japanese – Peruvian cuisine.

The tuna was fresh and nicely seared on the outside then sliced thinly, topped with scallion and served the tataki yuzu sauce. It got me hooked after the first bite, seriously so good! The sauce plays an important role in making this dish heavenly with its tangy fresh kick, it’s perfect to stimulate the appetite.

Tostados Tuna IDR 80k // Salmon IDR 75k
Nikkei style toasted tortilla topped with fresh slices of sashimi grade fish (Tuna/ Salmon), creamy sauce and avocado. The presentation of this dish kinda reminds me of Akira Back’s Tuna Pizza but it tastes different. The tuna and salmon were fresh and complemented nicely with creamy avocado but the seasoning was kinda lacking of addictive factor.

Served in Japanese pot, the miso broth consists of festive ingredients, shrimp, clam, fish, seaweed, scallion, shredded snow pea and fried onion. The broth was packed with umami and savory, only a tad too salty for my liking.
